English Curriculum Courses in Literature EN010 English Competency Oral Exam – Literary Studies Track 0 credit The Competency Exam in Literary Studies consists of the following components: a) critical essay on a work selected by the English faculty; b) oral defense of the essay; c) demonstration of general literary knowledge; d) technical analysis of a short text, likely a poem; e) structured discussion of a topic or topics relating the study of literature with life and career.
