Our mission was to create an exciting and dynamic design clearly reflecting the XE’s positioning as a serious driver’s car. The cab-rearward proportions and tight packaging achieve that and give the XE the appearance of movement, even when it’s standing still. It bears a strong resemblance to the F-TYPE and will stand apart in the crowd
Design In keeping with the Jaguar tradition, sporting pedigree is at the heart of the XE S proposition. Short front and rear overhangs coupled with a distinctly car-rearward design emphasising the elegant, sculpted bonnet give the new XE S a striking, modern image. The modular aluminium architecture has given the designers unprecedented freedom to achieve the desired look and feel without compromise. As a result, the XE has truly eye-catching proportions. The rear quarter sections echo the F-TYPE Coupé and the rising waistline gives the XE a strong, muscular appearance. The XE S also comes with a subtle body kit as standard, further reinforcing the XE’s powerful, sporting character.

Aluminium-Intensive Architecture Jaguar is at the forefront of aluminium technology in the automotive industry, having produced the XJ, XK and F-TYPE – and the new XE is no different. Underpinning the new Jaguar XE is a high-tech, lightweight aluminium structure that is exceptionally strong, assuring high levels of passenger and pedestrian safety, enhanced performance, a thrilling driving experience and reduced fuel consumption and CO2 emissions.
In-car technology Intelligent safety The new Jaguar XE S features a range of unobtrusive and intelligent driver safety aids designed to provide discreet protection from dangerous situations. Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB) uses forward-facing stereo camera technology to warn the driver of an impending frontal collision before automatically priming the brakes to provide maximum stopping power in a safe and efficient manner. The XE S also features Closing Vehicle Sensing with Blind Spot Monitoring, Traffic Sign Recognition, Reverse Traffic Detection and Lane Departure Warning. Get connected Jaguar InControl is a suite of connectivity features providing seamless interaction with smartphone apps, satellite navigation and music streaming services via a simple, intuitive 8-inch touchscreen and ‘plain speech’ voice control. Head-up Display Key driver information is displayed via a new, colour laser head-up display (HUD), which projects essential data into the driver’s eyeline without causing distraction. Remote control Imagine being able to remotely programme your new Jaguar XE S up to seven days in advance. With this innovative technology you can pre-heat or cool the cabin to the desired temperature, start the engine, lock or unlock the doors – even locate the car in a crowded car park, all through a secure smartphone app.
