Gymnastics & Tumbling School-age Gymnastics Children learn skills in the gymnastics events of balance beam, vaulting, bars, tumbling and air trak. As children learn specific skills they will be awarded achievement ribbons. Students will increase muscular strength, flexibility, endurance and coordination and learn new skills with each class while gaining self-esteem and confidence. Adult Open Gymnastics Gymnastics is not just for children! Whether they are trying gymnastics for the first time or returning to the sport after a long absence, participants will enjoy this fun class, which incorporates balance, flexibility, stretching and strength while maintaining and enhancing gymnastics abilities. It’s a fun and challenging workout for any adult that wants to experience an exciting way to exercise. Events include vault, bars, beam, floor and high bar. This class is an open gym format, so students can work on what they want, when they want. Pay at the door. (KB)

Now offered at Vaughan Athletic Center in addition to Prisco Community Center! Children can develop self-esteem, gross motor skills and physical fitness with their parents. Instruction focuses on gross motor skills and introductory gymnastics skills on the floor, balance beams, bars and vaulting. Structured Open Play: Gymnastics Structured open play is a great time for siblings and/or friends to play together in a safe and welcoming environment. A staff member will have a lively setup incorporating our state-of-the-art equipment and interactive stations. While exploring the wonderful world of gymnastics, children can attain friendships and a love for the sport. Open play will consist of play time, games and group activities. (KB) Age

Open Gym: Gymnastics Open Gym is an unstructured but supervised gymnastics activity where children can play in the gym. It provides practice time for each gymnast to work individually on the events and skills they wish. Certified coaches are present to provide supervision, spotting and safety tips as needed. This is not a gymnastics class but a fun activity for the kids. Please be sure to pay at the front desk and show your receipt to the coaches in the Gymnastics Room. Private Lessons – Gymnastics/Tumbling/Cheer/ Poms/Hip Hop Private Lessons are available for those gymnasts, tumblers, cheerleaders, poms and hip hop participants who are looking for more one-on-one instruction to improve their ability. Private and semi-private lessons are available for 30, 45 and 60 minutes and must be pre-arranged with the gymnastics supervisor.
