Cheer & Poms Cheernastics

Cheerleading

Cheernastics will focus on tumbling for cheerleaders while incorporating the basic foundation to develop an experienced cheerleader. This co-ed class will work on chants, cheers, motions, jumps, stunts, dance and the importance of teamwork. Instructors will teach and follow proper progressions so that participants only attempt stunts and tumbling skills when they are ready. Participants will learn a newly choreographed routine and will perform on the last day. (KB)

Students will learn all aspects of cheerleading, including the basic chants, cheers, motions, jumps, stunts, dance and the importance of teamwork. Level 1 is for children who have never experienced cheerleading before and would like to learn more about the sport. Level 2 is for cheerleaders who already have some cheer experience. Level 3 is for cheerleaders who are more advanced and have been in the sport for at least one year. No class March 29. (KB)

Co-Ed Stunting for Cheerleading Poms This poms class will focus on learning dance techniques, sharp leg and arm movements, routines and group work to develop a teamwork atmosphere. New participants will need to order poms on the first day of class for $15 per pair. (KB)

This class teaches basic stunting and introduces more advanced stunts. Participants will learn the importance of both strength and power. Current male and female cheerleaders who are looking to advance their skills in stunting are encouraged to register for this class. No outside shoes allowed; gym shoes (preferably cheerleading shoes) are required in every class. (KB)

Tumbling for Cheerleaders Participants focus on the tumbling aspect of cheerleading, including the proper progressions for learning round-offs, back handsprings and standing backs. This is a great way to get ready for a cheer squad or to advance skills. Beginner class will work on cartwheels, round offs and limber skills.
