Our Shire horses are perfectly suited to driving fine carriages. These spectacular and elegant animals are the tallest of all horse breeds. Despite their large size, they are extremely gentle and docile, and have excellent temperaments, adding a touch of class to your carriage experience. They have been well trained, and have extensive driving experience before becoming a part of the Ayrshire Carriage Company. Many of our horses have been bred and raised here at Ayrshire Farm.C 2

A pair of horses or a “Four-in-Hand” draws this graceful Vis-à-Vis. The Belgian Royal Family, used for attending the hunt, once owned this particular carriage and other formal drives. The Baron Jean Casier, who used it for his own daughter’s wedding, later acquired it. Upon arrival in the States, there were still traces of rice from this joyous occasion. The Grand Vis-à-Vis is the perfect choice for slightly larger parties, as it can seat up to six people. 3
