Oh, ya gotta just love a boy fight! Seems a couple of Republicans running for Lieutenant Governor are exchanging …lies. But why should anyone be surprised? Notice, neither one wants to be Governor; they both want to be LIEutenant Governor. So the hissing started when Dan Patrick slung out an ad dissing Patterson’s stance on in-state tuition for the children of illegal immigrants. Then according to Patterson’s people, Patrick supersized the lie and they proffer a link to some audio tape as proof. In a statement circulated by Patterson he says, "No Polite Way To Put This - Dan Patrick Is Lying." Then, wait for it, "It's deplorable that Patrick would invoke the images of Houston, Travis, Bowie and Austin in an ad where he intentionally tells a lie about his opponent," said Chris Elam, Patterson Campaign Manager. Could it be true, could it be true? Is Patrick not an “Authentic Republican with conservative leadership?” Oh, say it ain’t so. All this sand is flying over in-state college tuition for illegal aliens; so now we know what is causing the demise of Texas education, letting people from other places go to college for the same price. Yep, they are both authentic something. We have a lot of issues in the Lone Star State but who would have ever guessed this topic would have caused these two to start snatching hair. First liar doesn’t stand a chance.
