HANDBALL A DIFFERENT SPORT 

Handball is a team sport in which two teams of seven players each (six outfield players and a goalkeeper) pass a ball to throw it into the goal of the other team. The game is quite fast and includes body contact as the defenders try to stop the attackers from approaching the goal. Contact is only allowed when the defensive player is completely in front of the offensive player, i.e. between the offensive player and the goal

REMEBERING SOME RULES       

   

Every team has got 14 players but only 7 play at one time. There isn’t a limit in the number of changes. The objective is to a get a goal throwing the ball into the rival’s goal. Players can bounce and pass the ball, but a player can’t hold the ball for more than 3”, before passing, dribbling, or shooting When a player is throwing into the goal, he can’t touch the goal area. Players can’t touch the ball with their legs (from the knees to feet). Duration of the match: 2 periods of 30’. In Corner Throws and Side Line Throws the player throwing must keep one foot on the line and the opponents must be at least 3 metres from the ball. Any infraction that prevents a clear scoring opportunity, will result in a seven-meter penalty shot (7-METER THROW) YELLOW CARD: a warning for an illegal actioN TWO-MINUTE SUSPENSION: if the contact was particularly dangerous. RED CARD; If any player do a very dangerours action or after third time with two-minute suspension.

TECHNICAL Advices; Passing -It’s important to pass the ball to another team mate between the top of the head and the chest. -When a mate receive a pass, must have got his hands ready (between the top of the head and the chest) to catch the ball. It’s very important don’t make bad passes. If you can, you have to try to receive the ball in movement.

GOALKEEPER -Goalkeeper may save the ball with anyone part of his body. -The goalkeeper can’t leave his goal area with the ball. If he wants to leave, he must pass the ball before he leaves it. -A player can’t pass the ball to his goalkeeper when the goalkeeper is inside his goal area.

OFFENSIVE POSITIONS  Left and right WINGMAN. They try to get better shooting angle at the goal.  Left and right BACKCOURT. Goal attempts by these players are typically made by jumping high and shooting over the defenders.  Center BACKCOURT. A player with experience is preferred on this position. He usually pass very good the ball and he has to organize the team  PIVOT . This player tends to intermingle with the defense and attempting to disrupt the defense formation.
