Delivery Dudes Brings Great Restaurant Meals To Your Doorstep Story and Photos by Julie Unger

Michael Fraunfelter was first introduced to Delivery Dudes when he was utilizing the company’s services. “I asked one of the other drivers about opening a franchise, and it all started from there,” he recalled. Fraunfelter was working in a call center at the time, and his wife was about to give birth. He had some money available, saw the opportunity and ran with it. Now, he owns a franchise in Wellington, which opened in October 2012, and one that is soon to open in Royal Palm Beach. “It’s a great idea,” he said. “It’s so simple.” Fraunfelter’s daughter is now 4, he is expecting a son in February, and he just recently purchased his first house. As his family grows, so does his Delivery Dudes business. Delivery Dudes is a restaurant de-

livery service working with more than 30 local restaurants. Among them are Backstreets Bar & Grill, Casa Tequila, Catania, Cilantro’s Gourmet Deli, Cucina Moderna, Field of Greens, Franco’s Italian Bistro, Hurricane Grill & Wings, India Grill + Bar, John Smith Subs, Kontiki Wine & Raw Bar, La Fogata, Lindburgers, Mellow Mushroom, Moe’s Southwest Grill, Oli’s Fashion Cuisine, Shingo’s Japanese, Short Stacks, Sushi Fans Café, Taylor Made Café, the Grille Fashion Cuisine, the Seahorse Fashion Cuisine, TooJay’s, Centanni Italian Restaurant, Jordan’s Steak Bistro, JoJo’s Raw Bar & Grill, Romeo’s Italian Cuisine, the White Elephant, Tub Tim Thai, the Wild West Diner, Fresh Market, Whole Foods Market and the Binks Forest Golf Club. For any restaurant Delivery Dudes doesn’t work with, the company can still

do deliveries, charging a nominal additional fee. While restaurant delivery is the company’s core business, Delivery Dudes offers other services as well. “We do grocery shopping and pharmaceutical pickup,” Fraunfelter said. “We’ve got quite a few handicapped people who rely on us every week for groceries. We’ve also picked people up who have drank too much,” Fraunfelter’s longtime friend and now employee, Taylor Carrano, has taken a few calls for those who decided driving wasn’t an option. “They know who we are, and they honestly do love us,” Carrano said, which is why they are called rather than a cab when someone has had too much to drink. Some of the strangest things they’ve delivered, Carrano said, include car
