As ever in theatreland we are already thinking about Christmas before summer holidays have even arrived, but to tell you the truth we are so excited about SNOW WHITE AND THE SEVEN DWARFS we just can’t help ourselves. Our co-producers, UK Theatre Productions, have got a great cast and creative team to make this year’s panto even better than ever (see pages 30-31). In September, we have APRIL IN PARIS, John Godber’s comic masterpiece which sees jaded couple Al (Joe McGann) and Bet (Shobna Gulati) embark on an hilarious, heartfelt romantic adventure (see pages 10-11). Get those “little grey cells” working at the end of October when the great Belgian detective Hercule Poirot returns, in the first play ever written by Agatha Christie, BLACK COFFEE. The INTERNATIONAL GUITAR FESTIVAL OF GREAT BRITAIN is back in November and we have an amazing line-up (At A Glance pages 22 to 23) with more still to be announced when the full festival guide comes out in August. Highlights include Joan Armatrading, Paul Carrack, Rumours of Fleetwood Mac, and the welcome return of Gary Murphy’s Guitar Legends. CHRISTMAS AT THE FLORAL doesn’t just stop with the wonderful panto, we have something for everyone with heartwarming Christmas drama THE HOLLY AND THE IVY, children’s show FATHER CHRISTMAS NEEDS A WEE!, timeless classic ballet THE NUTCRACKER, a night of happiness with KEN DODD, and the smooth tones of TOM SPENCE (see pages 26-29). And if you really want to put your dancing shoes on, our CHRISTMAS PARTY NIGHTS are back, bigger than ever (pages 26 to 27). Turn the page now to see our whole season listings At A Glance. We hope to see you soon at the Floral. Best wishes, The Floral Pavilion Team

In the first play ever written by Agatha Christie we are introduced to a character who went on to become the most famous detective of all time and the only fictional character ever to receive a full-page obituary in the New York Times. Hercule Poirot returns to the stage in Agatha Christie’s Black Coffee, now starring Jason Durr from ITV’s hit series Heartbeat in the role of the famous Belgian sleuth. The cast will also include Agatha Christie Company regulars: Gary Mavers who is best known for playing heart-throb doctor Andrew Attwood in Peak Practice and Ben Nealon, perhaps best loved for his role as Capt Forsythe in the ITV drama Soldier Soldier.

GROUP BOOKINGS

With little of the ticket price going to the venue, fees have become an industry standard, and a necessity, for arts and entertainment venues like the Floral Pavilion.

Group bookings for more than 20 people are available through our dedicated phone line 0151 666 0001 and email floralboxoffice@wirral.gov.uk

The introduction in May of a ÂŁ1 per ticket fee (on up to eight tickets) ensures we continue to offer the best customer service, operating a modern, efficient box office. The main benefit is that Floral Pavilion continues to sell our own tickets and keep the use of ticket agents to a minimum, avoiding higher fees, loss of personal service and venue knowledge.
