MASTERS MX SIX12 RACETECH RACE REPORT

Once Supercross finishes up all the Main Events, the track personnel and riders head outdoors! The infamous Gatorback track was a fixture on the Pro National circuit for years until they changed the schedule in 1998 and forgot to put Gatorback back in! In the past few years the track has changed, with the addition of some sand and re routing of the back sections. The track was in great conditions after the amount of rain they got on Tuesday. Hundreds of riders in addition to all the entrants during SX took to the track for practice on Wedneday and Thursday. First motos would kick off Thursday and Friday, and then finally all second motos on Saturday to crown the National Title winners! After winning in Olympiad SX titles RJ Hampshire went straight back to his winning ways in the A and Pro Sport classes. RJ won the 450 B class in MX last year at Mini Os, so almost everyone knew he had great speed on the 450. But what about the 250? He would prove it to everyone that he has plenty of speed on the 250 with the help of Amsoil Honda. Hampshire won both the 250 Pro Sport and A divisions. In the Pro Sport class Kawasaki finished out the podium, with Nick Gaines finished 2nd and Darain Sanayei 3rd. In the A class Luke Renzland was 2nd overall and Gaines 3rd. Hampshire kept it rolling in the 450 Pro Sport by winning the overall over Suzuki backed Matthew Burkeen and Cody Chisholm put in a great ride on his Fox/Kawasaki. Hampshires only defeat in the overall would come in the 450 A class. RJ stalled his bike out of the gate and would have to come from dead last, putting in a great ride to third. This would not be enough as Monster Energy Kawasakis Thomas Covington took the win and Nick Gaines in 2nd. Keith Tucker cleaned up in the 250 B class on his Triangle Yamaha. Tucker won both the Limited and B in front of Geico Hondas Jerry Robin, Alex Frye and Ryan Surratt. Tristan Charboneau took the 450 B win over Surratt and Kody Kuykendall. The 450 B Limited was won by Ryan Surratt on his Yamaha over Burnett and Robin. Bryce Mauldin was simply unstoppable in the C classes outdoors. The KTM rider from Webster Florida would win every class! 250 C, 250 C Limited, 450 C and 450 C Limited would see Mauldin take home the hardware! This was Mauldins biggest win of his career. He would top riders that included Rigo Angulo, Robbey Ruffner, Drew Abney, Preston Pennington and Brian Guerro. The KTM rider of Alex Frye was flawless in the Schoolboy divisions, taking home all 3 overalls. In Schoolboy 1 it was Ramyller Alves, who just made the jump to big bikes, in the #2 spot. Alves might have been one of the most impressive riders as he has adapted extremely well to the 125. Lorenzo Locurcio, who won in SX came home in 3rd in both Schoolboy 1 and Limited. Dylan Greer put in an excellent ride in Schoolboy 1 Limited finishing up second behind Frye on his KTM. Schoolboy 2 was all Alex Frye once again taking the overall, this time over Mitchell Harrison and Ashton Hayes.
