My Robot >>>

Senior Editor, Steve Paugh, has been trying to warn us about the rise of the machines for a while now, and finally it seems that the beginning of the robot revolution is finally here. Meet the PR2, a Jetsons-age marvel that’s able to tend to your every need in the comfort of your own home. Manufacturer, Willow Garage, claims that the $400,000 PR2 can be programmed to do nearly anything you want (but hopefully only within the boundaries of Asimov’s Three Laws). www.willowgarage.com

Watch Your Speed >>>

The new Parmigiani Bugatti Super Sport watch may be as limited as the car that inspired it, but that is not the only similarity. Like the Veyron, the transversal movement which keeps the dial on a vertical axis was a game changer in its industry and its mechanics have been reengineered to improve performance. The watch also echoes the more aerodynamic “fastback” look of the Veyron Super Sport, but perhaps the greatest similarity is that it commands a premium price. However, if you have just forked-out to buy the car, then $260,000 is small change. www.parmigiani.ch
