Welcome to Swinfen Hall Hotel, a beautiful grade II* listed Georgian mansion built in 1755 by Benjamin Wyatt for a family of three and 55 servants. No expense was spared in the construction and today the Hall is widely regarded as an architectural gem. We bought the building in January 1987 in a fairly sorry state and after extensive restoration, opened as a hotel the following Christmas. As an independent hotel, we pride ourselves on our very personal and friendly service and are delighted to be the only AA red star hotel in either Staffordshire or the West Midlands. Our Wedding Manager and support team have organised many wedding receptions and civil ceremonies over the years and recognise that this expression of love and commitment, shared with family and friends, is a very individual and unique occasion. So, whether you are planning a small weekday wedding or a large weekend extravaganza, you can be assured we will help you every step of the way. THE PERFECT VENUE
Set in 100 acres of historic parkland, Swinfen Hall is a glorious venue for both wedding receptions and civil ceremonies. The foyer, beautifully decorated in Wedgwood blue, cream and gold has a balustraded Minstrels Gallery and provides a lovely backdrop for the Champagne reception.

We have three beautiful oak-panelled rooms available - the smallest is licensed for up to 30 guests whilst the largest will accommodate 150 guests. COME WINTER
Winter Weddings also have their charm with soft candlelight, glittering chandeliers and log fires crackling in the grates. The magnificent foyer and Minstrels Gallery provide a fabulous setting for photographs although most couples venture outside to take advantage of the clear light and magical frosty landscapes. Throughout December and the first week of January, the hotel is swathed in festive Victorian garlands and a stunning 20-foot Christmas tree lights up the ballroom.

We pride ourselves on the food we serve at Swinfen Hall Hotel. Our Four Seasons Restaurant has consistently achieved 2 AA rosettes since 2002 and we have twice won Restaurant of the Year in the Staffordshire Good Food Awards and last year the Fine Dining Award. All our food is prepared on the premises using fresh ingredients from local food producers and specialist suppliers, including fruit and vegetables grown in our Victorian walled garden. We offer an extensive choice of seasonal menus for the Wedding Breakfast and Chef is more than happy to help you plan your perfect meal. The evening party is priced at £21.95 per person and this includes a wide choice of buffet menus and room hire. A hog roast is also available at £25.00 per person for a minimum of 120 guests. Current evening buffet menus can be found on our website www.swinfenhallhotel.co.uk. This price excludes entertainment which can be booked through the hotel or independently. Weddings without exclusive use will need to use our house DJ or an approved band. We have organised bouncy castles, firework displays, hot air balloons, jazz bands, Scottish reel dancing, a flock of doves... it’s your party.

EXCLUSIVELY YOURS
Swinfen Hall Hotel can be hired on an exclusivie-use basis and with only 18 luxurious bedrooms and suites, this is a very affordable option. Exclusive use gives you both privacy and the ultimate luxury of being Lord and Lady of the manor for the day, but it also offers many practical benefits. The evening buffet can be set up in the restaurant, the private dining room can become a children’s entertainment room or crèche and the cocktail lounge can offer a quiet refuge for older guests during the evening party. Alternatively, we can arrange an evening hog roast in the gardens, a stunning firework display or a jazz band on the cocktail terrace - the choice is yours. Overnight accommodation and full English breakfast for all 18 bedrooms is included in the Exclusivity Fee so if your guests are paying for their own accommodation up to £3,500 can be set against the Exclusivity Fee, which means that you will be paying less than £500 for exclusive use during the quieter months of the year.

Our Bridal Suite is a beautiful room of elegant proportions with silk wall panels and a king-size canopied bed. The bathroom has a large corner Jacuzzi bath, a separate shower cubicle and twin sinks set in marble. We have 18 bedrooms and suites, all of which vary greatly in size, shape and aspect but each has been individually furnished to offer style and comfort. All rooms have luxurious 100% goose down duvets, Egyptian cotton sheets, bathrobes, mineral water, a well-stocked hospitality tray, satellite television, DVD player, Ipod docking station and free wi-fi access. Family rooms on the second floor can accommodate cots or extra beds for children. Full English breakfast is included in all room rates.

We are easily accessible by the motorway network and good roads, with the M6 toll road less than a mile away. There are two mainline railway stations in Lichfield and helicopters can land on site. Birmingham International and East Midlands Airport are both within a 30 minute drive, so even those long lost relatives and far flung friends on distant shores can wing their way to Swinfen for the happy day.
