From 1967 to 1994, he was Professor of Law at Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law. He also practiced law as a Private Attorney and Consultant. Currently he is engaged in research and publication and works as part-time member of Fikadu Law Office sharing his legal expertise.

ATO WONDEMAGEGN TADESSE. Education: Addis Ababa University, Faculty of Law (LL.B., 2000); University of Oslo, Faculty of Law (LL.M., Public International Law, 2007). Since his graduation from Addis Ababa University, he worked as Assistant Judge at the Federal High Court, lectured at the Commercial College of Addis Ababa University, the Faculty of Law (AAU) and various private colleges. After his master’s degree, he also worked as a legal expert on human rights for the Ethiopian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and, he was also part of the legal team at the Ethiopian Commodity Exchange (ECX). Currently he is teaching law at Addis Ababa University and is also part of the staff at the newly established Institute of Human Rights, Addis Ababa University.

He is a part-time member of Fikadu Law Office.
