LETTER FROM THE DIRECTOR Dear Turner Center Members, I hope you are enjoying the warmer weather we have been having recently and that you consider joining us for one or our upcoming trips or special events! Included in this month's newsletter is the Summer 2013 Silver Sneakers class schedule. Please refer to this list as it contains all of the Bellevue Family YMCA Active Older Adult classes along with descriptions of each class. If you have any questions about this schedule, please contact a member of the YMCA Wellness staff and they would be happy to speak with you about the class offerings. I wanted to remind you all that if you have been issued a credit for a class or trip in the past year, those credits will expire at the end of the FiftyForward fiscal year (June 30, 2013). Make sure that you use your credits this month on one of the many classes and trips that we have planned. If you are unsure if you have unused credit, please see an Ambassador or Turner Center staff member and they can look you up on our list. Thank you to all of the members who have generously donated to the "Giving Tree" program during the month of May. We have decided to extend this into June, so for those of you who may not have had an opportunity to take a "flower" off the tree you will have a chance to do so. Please consider donating one of these items back to the Turner Center - it is through this type of generosity that we are able to keep our program costs down for all of our members. As some of you may know, Kristin Blackburn left her position with the Turner Center at the end of April. Over the past 2 years, Kristin helped plan many fun activities and programs for our members. We appreciate Kristin’s many contributions to the Turner Center during her time here. Please join me in wishing Kristin much success in her future endeavors. Fondly, Megan

SPOTLIGHT ON YOU So far this year, we’ve had the spotlight on our faithful and indispensable volunteers. This month, we turn the Spotlight On You! We want to learn more about you by asking you these questions: What did you do before you entered retirement? What hobbies do you currently pursue with a passion? What is your favorite memory, proudest moment or accomplishment from your lifetime? Feel free to share your responses via email to nlonguevan@fiftyforward.org or fill out the “Spotlight On You” sheet in the Turner Center lobby and drop it in the Suggestion Box located above the coffee in the lobby.

REMINDER Credits are expiring at the end of the FiftyForward fiscal year (June 30, 2013). Sign-up for a class or trip today! See an Ambassador or staff member with questions.
