Director’s Notes

Interim Director Fran Mazzaferro

Dear FiftyForward Donelson Members, Let me introduce myself...I am Fran Mazza-Ferro. I served FIftyForward as the Associate Executive Director 20+ years before I retried at the end of 2008. Last month, August 12th, Janet Jernigan and Lori Corley called me and asked me to serve as interim director of FiftyForward Donelson until they hire a new person. Thank you all so much for making me feel so welcome here at Donelson. One of my first impressions of Donelson Staion was “Oh, my gosh, this center is SO BUSY!” What a great problem to have! It seems there is something for everyone! I love it! Everybody worked so hard for the Pigs and Pickles (BBQ) our 2-day fundraising event...it was terribly hot, but you wonderful people just kept working! What a group of troopers you all are! I have already learned so much from many of you. Believe me, this center would not be functioning without you all. Some of you have made some invaluable suggestions about the operation of the center. I am open to listening and jotting down your ideas. Some may be implemented soon...others may take longer to put into action and some may be impossible to implement. However, do not stop bringing me your ideas or suggestions. I love talking with you and getting to know more about your lives, talents, skills and dreams. May you all be blessed, Fran
