Director ’s Notes Happy summer everyone! Wow is time ever flying by. Lisa has done a great job with The Depot and scheduling events. Be sure to check out all of the fun things we have going on in this issue. I want to say a special thanks to everyone who contributed to the matching campaign - we did a great job of raising money for our center.

Painting on the Pike Join us to paint a sunflower picture! July 26th 77-9 p.m. Class is $30, includes all of your materials! Led by Roberta Steinmetz

I am hopeful that the new fitness equipment will be delivered soon. In addition to the fitness equipment we have some really great fitness classes. Check out what we have to offer on the separate fitness page in this newsletter. So, here's the big news . Many of you have helped us with the Labor Day Barb-Que. For the past few years we haven't raised very much money for the amount of time and effort that was involved in the event. It is time to retire this 4 day event and replace it with a one day festival. So, on Saturday, July 31 we will have Donelson/Hermitage's very first picklefest! We will have hamburgers, hotdogs, and other food items but lots and lots of pickles including the very popular fried pickles. We'll have other components of the event including a silent auction, vendors, etc. but just for one day 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. We'll also have a featured entertainer from 7 until 9 that evening. Since, it's only one day, everyone can help - it will be lots of fun for families and for us. I know change is hard but it was time to retire the bar-b-que festival. Have a great summer!
