QUOTE OF THE WEEK “I had to remind our kids that this was Halloween, not Christmas. We need to stop giving away gifts. And let’s just make sure that it’s Halloween, so let’s put your scary masks on and go play.” -- UCLA head coach Chip Kelly in his halftime speech to the Bruins, who defeated Colorado 28-16

TEAM OF THE WEEK

ARIZONA

Led by freshman quarterback Noah Fifita, Arizona defeated No. 16 Oregon State, 27-24, inching the Wildcats one victory closer to their first bowl berth since 2017.

KANSAS Kansas upset No. 9 Oklahoma, 38-33, to remain undefeated at home this season. Fans stormed the field and tore down the goal posts before dumping them into Potter Lake during an electric celebration of the Jayhawks’ first home win over a Top 10 team in 39 years. Quarterback Jason Bean threw for 218 yards, ran for 62 yards and had one touchdown. From their first score of the game, a 37-yard pick six by Mello Dotson, to the game-winner, a touchdown pass by Bean to Devin Neal with less than a minute left, the Jayhawks persisted against the odds – and 21 unanswered Sooners’ points in the second quarter – to come out victorious in the seesaw affair. The victory earned Kansas bowl eligibility for the second-straight season.

Fifita completed 25-of-32 passes for 275 yards and three touchdowns, including two scoring passes to Michael Wiley in the fourth quarter, pushing the Wildcats past the Beavers. After four games, Fifita has totaled 1,152 passing yards and 11 touchdowns to jumpstart Arizona’s offense. His performance earned him another Pac-12 Freshman of the Week honor, his third in the month of October. Under Head Coach Jedd Fisch, Arizona has posted consecutive wins over AP Top 25 teams for the first time since 2014 after routing then-No. 19 Washington State 44-6 two weeks ago in Pullman. On the heels of back-to-back wins, Arizona (5-3, 3-2) hosts No. 19 UCLA (6-2, 3-2) on Saturday, November 4, at 7:30 p.m. PHX on FS1.

No. 21 Kansas (6-2, 3-2) will aim to maintain its momentum at Iowa State (5-3, 4-1) on Saturday, November 4, at 4 p.m. PHX on ESPN.
