Instructor Biographies Estelitta Rainwater-August is the creator and designer of Ms. Lady Creations, a jewelry making business. Her pieces use only real stones, crystals, and handmade glass beads. Martha R. Bireda, Ph.D., has been an equity consultant for twenty years in issues related to race, gender, and cultural diversity. She is founder of the Blanchard House Museum of African American History and Culture and author of six books. Susan Cain is a professional Note Broker in Punta Gorda. Alex Crandall, M.D. is a retired psychiatrist with 35 years of experience in therapy, research and teaching. Linda Coules is currently an investment manager with Edward Jones investments. Benjamin Crosby, Ph.D. earned his doctoral degree in Political Science and with a regional specialization in Latin America, where he lived for 18 years. He has been a research scholar at the Overseas Development Council in Washington D.C., and was a Director of MSI, an international development consulting organization. Steven Derfler, Ph.D. is a Professor of Art History and Archaeology at the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. Ahmed Elrefai, Ph.D. graduated from Ohio State University with a Doctorate in Engineering. He has lectured on Islam and related subjects at public libraries, Islamic and religious institutions, and private and public schools and colleges. Sharon Fultz is a Tai Chi practitioner and has been an instructor since 1995. . Ted Goodwin is Founder and Past President of the Final Exit Network and Past President of the World Federation on of Right to Die Societies. John Guerra is a graduate of Columbia University, former Wall Street merchant banker, and the FGCU Director of Continuing Education and the Renaissance Academy. Roxanne Hanney has years of experience with pastels and oils. She has been delighted to discover the joys of teaching unique skills and techniques required for this medium. Regina Iacone began to study the Enneagram with Don Richard Riso and Russ Hudson, the foremost teachers of the Enneagram, in 1989. Carol Mahler is a storyteller, singer-songwriter, author, and teacher. Carol Mahler founded the Peace River Center for Writers and has served as scholar, discussion leader, and project director for public humanities programs.
