Getting Reports from Allplan Cost Estimate
General Information About the Building 6 Stories,
(1 Basement, Ground, 4 Floors) Footprint= 305 m² 2 on each floor,
(Total 10 apartments) 137 rooms in Total
Using PDF formatted files in Allplan Importing PDF formatted files is very easy in
Allplan and it allows you to speed up in drafting. However, due to size of the files that has been
supplied for this particular project importing PDF files was almost impossible. By using “Adobe Distiller� the pdf files were
cropped and then some of them could be converted into smaller files.
Step by Step Modeling Before we started to drafting we formed the file
structure in Allplan.
Step by Step Modeling After forming file structure, we have set the
elevations for each floor of the building.
Step by Step Modeling For the first step we
imported structural drawings to Allplan.
Step by Step Modeling Then reinforced
concrete walls, beams and columns are drafted for each floor. Before drafting for each item specifications and dimension of the materials set.
Step by Step Modeling After finalization of structural body of the building,
then masonry parts are done. Seperations for each floor are set as seen in the projects.
Step by Step Modeling While inserting seperations, by using door and
window wizard of Allplan all door openings and window openings are left on the walls. The openings
are filled with the help of a smart tool which allows you to give the shape you need.
Step by Step Modeling Staircases were not easy to draw at
first, but once you get used to it becomes very clear. You
are selecting the type of staircases you have in your project (L Shape, U Shape) and then you have it!
Step by Step Modeling After finishing room seperations, windows, doors
and railings, by using room tool finishes for each room are defined. All 137 rooms are defined as described in the project. I think this is the most important tool of Allplan! It also has BAYBAK items which allows you to
define materials as defined in the government projects.

projects.
