Adelaide’s own Walk of Fame honours many diverse artists who have graced the stages of Adelaide Festival Centre.

Overlooking the River Torrens, the Walk of Fame promenade connects King William Road and the Riverbank Footbridge, linking Festival Theatre and Dunstan Playhouse and providing access to all venues.

The star-studded walk features more than 130 performers and extends annually with the public and critics panel voting for their favourite stars.

PETER COMBE’S CHRISTMAS ALBUM Live in Concert

More fun than a bellyflop in a pizza The only thing more comforting than a rendition of ‘Toffee Apple’ is Peter Combe’s Christmas Album performed in full by the man himself. This much loved album went gold in just five weeks after its release back in 1990 and it remains the most successful album of original Christmas songs ever released in Australia.

Peter first performed songs from the album right here at the Adelaide Festival Centre’s amphitheatre. This year, Peter, his band and the Aurora Vocal Ensemble will perform the album in its entirety for the very first time. MONCHICHI A fusion of hip-hop and contemporary dance created by the duo Wang Ramirez; a couple onstage and off.

Ramirez, who is French with Spanish origins, crosses choreographic paths with Wang, born in Frankfurt to Korean parents.

Together, they tackle Monchichi as they construct their life together – in perfect balance between masculine and feminine. Monchichi is a piece full of humor and self-deprecation, a love story in different languages.

ON STAGE Our popular school holiday performing arts program for 8 – 16 year olds On Stage is Adelaide Festival Centre’s performing arts program for 8-16 year olds. Every school holiday we bring together the best dance, theatre and vocal instructors to teach participants in all areas of the performing arts.

These specialised workshops and masterclasses are delivered in a fun and friendly environment with a focus on developing confidence, communication and leadership skills.

No auditions required, but numbers are capped.

This interactive birthday party explores what it’s like to be 12 years old. Katie has just moved school and is on the brink of her teens. It is a tumultuous time full of change and new horizons.

Internationally acclaimed performer Mary-Frances Doherty gives a stunning solo performance in this insightful show about a young girl’s journey from childhood to adolescence. Chosen as one of Children’s Theatre Reviews’ Top 10 Shows of 2016, audience members at Belfast Children’s Festival scored it 10 out of 10. Don’t miss Katie’s Birthday Party. Game Theory begins simply enough – two men draw chalk squares on the ground and start playing a game of hopscotch. It’s all very structured, repetitive and civilised.

Then things begin to change shape – the basic geometries and rhythms fracture and multiply as the movement becomes increasingly complicated and physically demanding - finally concluding in hyperactive havoc.

Game Theory has toured extensively, with almost two hundred performances throughout Europe, Latin America and the Palestinian Territories. Its popularity is unsurprising: choreographer and dancer Joshua Monten in action is a sight to behold.

Incorporating live animation, video and performance, Robot Song follows the journey of a young girl on the autism spectrum learning to understand her unique way of relating to the world.

Through the help of a giant robot and a deep love of singing, Juniper discovers that life doesn’t always turn out the way you plan; sometimes it’s much, much better.

In Mort’s village everything has its place, every day is the same and everyone likes it that way.

Until one morning, crash, boom, bang... down comes Beep. What is this annoying interruption to Mort’s breakfast molly melon, who is this noisy robot girl, and how will she find her home? From Norwegian choreographer Johannessen, North explores the intimate and powerful exchange that plays out between humans and their environment. Stewart’s South depicts Sir Douglas Mawson’s fateful and dramatic journey to Antarctica in 1913 as an allegory for our current predicament in the era of rapid global warming.

HER MAJESTY’S THEATRE RENEWAL Treasuring the past, building for the future When Her Majesty's Theatre opened in 1913 it seated 2170 patrons. It was acclaimed as the finest theatre in Australia.

The Grand Old Dame of Grote Street is the last remaining operating Tivoli theatre in Australia and it’s undergoing major redevelopment.

The Foundation subsidises discounted tickets and transport to Adelaide Festival Centre shows for schools with disadvantage through our Equity Tix Program.

The Foundation funds Something on Saturday’s Kids Corner Workshops for 2-10 year olds and GreenRoom Arts Membership for 18-30 year olds.

The first three cash prizes for Adelaide Guitar Festival’s Classical Guitar Competition are provided by the Foundation, supporting young guitarists from all over the world to attend this internationally acclaimed competition.
