The wine aisles appear to go on and on and on... How do you know which wine is the right wine for you?


Red Wines


Merlot The taste is reminiscent of dark berries, cherries, and black currants, with hints of plum, chocolate, and underlying notes of leather. No need to age a Merlot... it is usually ready to drink.

Merlot can be enjoyed alone or with food


Burgundy The most difficult wine to make... It has the taste of mineral, earth, leather, cherry, and other red fruits.


Pinot Noir A smooth and silky wine ranging in flavors of smoke, spice, tea, and tart fruit to jammy, earthy, and floral tastes, depending upon where it is made. A great all around wine...


Shiraz (Syrah) There are many different varieties of this type of wine and it all depends on the region from which it hails. Some are big fruit wines with flavors of pepper and herbs and some are big fruit wines with flavors of chocolate, smoke and spice.


Zinfandel Tastes associated with this wine include blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, and dark cherry. Alcohol content can range from 13% to 18+%.


Madeira Originating from the Madeira Islands of Portugal, this historic wine is produced in varying styles of dry wine and sweet wine A fortified wine High quality Madeira aged “Canteiro� style in the sun up to 100 years!
