NO MORE Buddies breaks ground in Kingsland Kingsland residents and drivers can look forward to a new Buddies convenience store opening at the corner of RR 1431 and RR 2900 this summer as owners and operators Alva Timmons (left), Derek Timmons, Brian Maples and Nancy Maples break ground on the facility. The 6,600-square-foot store will feature 10 fuel pumps plus a high-speed diesel dispenser, a franchise chicken restaurant, another food-service business and branded fuel. Farmhouse to reopen after several months of renovations GRANITE SHOALS — When Farmhouse Restaurant owner Pat Heinecke temporarily shuttered the eatery in December for renovations, she never thought it would trigger such a response. “My phone just stayed busy with people calling and asking, ‘When are
you going to re-open?’,” she said. “Well, I’m going to re-open March 6.” The Farmhouse, 8037 RR 1431, is celebrating its 17th year. It features a full menu of great eating. The restaurant opens for summer hours 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays and 11 a.m.10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. For more information, call (830) 598-2934.
