Environmental Policies Update on 2012 activities

New green teams appointed at each hotel with representatives who coordinate activities and ensure all hotel team members are kept aware of our progress. Set target to reduce energy/water by 10% on previous year and to continue to monitor weekly. Make sure our hotel “Concierge Green Files” are up to date with details on public transport, local activities cycle hire etc. Brochures now available to be downloaded to minimise printing, postage etc. I􏰀 nvestigated and calculated the benefits of power voltimisers – this was rejected for commercial reasons. Worked closely with an external expert who carried out an energy health check on all our sites. Program to replace corridor lighting (where applicable) to LED – number of sites already completed. 16 bathrooms refurbished replacing taps with aerotors, low flush toilets etc.
