This is a special time that congregations set aside each year to honor pastors and pastoral families for the hard work, sacrificial dedication and multiple blessings provided by these special people. Pastors and their families live under incredible pressures. Their lives are played out in a fishbowl, with the entire congregation and community watching their every move. It is important to remember that appreciation, affirmation and prayer support of our spiritual leader appropriate throughout the year. During this special month the Personnel Committee would like to encourage you to be sure to express your support with a kind word, card or other appropriate means you feel would be meaningful.

CBF FALL GATHERING: The Annual Alabama CBF Fall Gathering will be held next Sunday, Oct 21st beginning at 3pm at Mountain Brook Baptist Church in B’ham. This year’s speaker is Barry Howard. You can find out more information and register at: www.alabamacbf.org

Sometimers are planning a trip to Pigeon Forge, TN. on Dec 6th thru Dec 8th. Cost of the trip is $310 per person. A deposit of $100 is due now and balance due by Oct 28th.
FALL FESTIVAL: The annual Fall Festival will be Sunday, October 28 from 5-7. The church will provide hot dogs and buns, so bring your favorite fixings, sides, chili, desserts, and drinks. There will be games, bouncy houses, trunk-or-treat, and a hayride for the children. A cake auction will also be held during the event. Donations of prizes, cookies, snack cakes, and medium size pumpkins are needed for the games. Come join the community in a night of fellowship and fun.
BAPTISM: Baptism will be held next Sunday, October 21st for Hattie Ewing, Callie Ewing and Levi Duncan.
QUARTERLY BUSINESS MEETING: Our Quarterly Business Meeting for 3rd quarter 2018 will be held on Wednesday, October 24th immediately following supper.
