Our Church is pleased to support CBF Global Missions in moments like these where bearing witness to Jesus Christ takes place through the simplicity of beloved community. "Our college students come from many places, some from islands far away. Most are children of farmers and the first generation to attend university. The students' families and sometimes their communities have pooled their resources to send this student away for their education. Most of these students and their families have little to no capacity to travel home or to visit in times of distress. Thus, our church and our ministry become their Beloved Community, a family for these students when their families are far away. Beloved Community means spending the night in the hospital with a student. Beloved Community means opening your home and caring for a sick student. Beloved Community can simply mean buying a pair of crutches."

Cost is $5 per person (age 6 & up) and $2 per plate (ages 2-5) and no more than $20 per family. Menu this week: Chicken Fingers, Green Beans, Coleslaw, Mac & Cheese, Rolls and Dessert. FOOD PANTRY DONATIONS: Donations for the monthly food pantry is an ongoing mission. Thanks for all the donations received to insure we continue this vital ministry to the community. Amount needed per month is $1499. Total Received for January: $1,429 BABY SHOWER: The ladies of the church will host a baby shower for Casey & Ashley Barker this afternoon from 1:30 – 3:00pm in the CMC. Everyone has a special invitation to attend. Casey & Ashley are registered at Amazon, Buy Buy Baby, and Target. Psst…..It’s a Girl – Camilla Grace Barker! QUARTERLY BUSINESS MEETING: Our Quarterly Business Meeting reviewing the 4th quarter finances of the church will be held this Wednesday, January 17th immediately following supper. ADULT GET-TOGETHER: Join us this Thursday night, Jan 18th at 6pm in the CMC for an evening of games, food, fun and fellowship. FREE INCOME TAX PREPARATION: SaveFirst is a program of the nonprofit organization Impact America that provide free tax preparation services to working families in our community.
