once a public works city employee, now commercial cleaning company business owner and her mother Sheila Calmese a stay at home mother. Zsamia’s parents never married. Through hard times, Zsamia’s mother lost custody of her two children. Zsamia lived with her maternal grandmother and soon came to live with her older sister in the foster home of Mary Ann Reedus who later adopted Zsamia. From the age of 5 Zsamia was told by her older sister, Telethia Jones, that she would one day become a model. From that day forward MaryAnn would put now Zsamia Calmese-Reedus through modeling, and grooming classes. One of the saddest times Zsamia recalls is the day her sister aged out of foster care. For the first time Zsamia was no longer around any family members. She admits those days were very trying for her and her real family dealing with the separation, but she is very close to both her real mother and sister today. MaryAnn soon saw the many gifts and talents Zsamia has and soon started enrolling her in classes like tumble, and ballet. Zsamia would travel and perform in popular plays as the Nutcracker and at famous venues throughout the county. Zsamia has always loved to run, she became a city-wide track star with numerous 1st place trophies and medals, she took her team to the state finals and was scouted to run overseas. As soon as MaryAnn could enroll her in the cities only school for gifted and talented students, she did. Zsamia was enrolled at Emerson School of Visual and Performing arts majoring in Vocal. By the time she turned 16, she felt like she had to make a choice between, sports or modeling. At the age of 18 she moved to Miami, Florida to live with her sister and started auditioning for agencies. Since then she has travel the east coast doing photo shoots, commercials, movies and music videos. Zsamia looks to the future in the fashion model and entertainment industry. She has goals to launch skin care and cosmetic lines; she loves to give to others, and as a positive role model, she is always available to talk to foster care children who may be dealing with self-esteem issues.
