- Duke Morse How appropriate that we were shooting a fashion editorial for Dany Atrache at an old cotton mill. For years garments were conceived and began the process of transforming from a raw resource to the fashions that we see today at many such cotton mills. Dany Atrache, a French-Lebanese fashion designer, is considered one of the leading fashion trendsetters in the MEA (Middle East Africa). After working for 12 years in Paris for top French fashion houses including Dior, Montana and Torrente Uniforme, Dany decided to return to Lebanon with the goal of turning his fashion dreams into reality. His aspiration, creativity, ambition, and hard work led to the launch of his own couture line in 2000. His stunning collection premiered at his first runway show in Beirut mesmerizing the audience with the exclusive designs. In no time Danny was dressing the stars and celebrities of the Arab entertainment world with his unique and exquisite pieces. 12

Following his great success in Beirut, he expanded his shows to Paris where he hosted his first private fashion show in 2004. At 19 years old, and an Arizona Native, Jasmine not only has a new modeling contract, but is also hard at work pursuing her degree in Fashion Marketing at the Art Institute of Phoenix. Cristina Kimberly Palomera - Born June 20, 1995 in Hollywood, California is an American and International Model. Having modeled with a local magazine, clothing designer, boutiques, hair stylists and runways, she was later chosen as the third place winner of Ms. Cover Girl and Ms. Photogenic 2009. This prepared her to complete her certification in modeling and acting school at Barbizon, and be scouted to the Leighton Agency in Arizona. In the summer of 2012, Cristina traveled to Japan with Avenue-1, while landing a two-year contract for Nikon, and a Music Video Shoot for singer/band, Elixia. Having graduated high school at the age of 16, she anticipates more success and willingly readies herself with higher education and a gleam in her eye.

The Vineyards was inspired by a one of my most favorite trips to California with my husband and three children. We went to Nappa Valley, which means â&#x20AC;&#x153;happy valley,â&#x20AC;? and refers to the famous American wine grapes grown north of San Pablo Bay. We had toured all of the famous vineyards, tasted elegant Chardonnays, Cabernets and Sauvignons. As a connisseur of wine, this was an amazing time to visit this modern-day Eden and viewing the splendor of this part of our country.

Amato Haute Couture and brand, Furne One, created by eccentric fashion designer, Furne Amato has never been more sought after. This illustrious creative is esteemed worldwide in the fashion and entertainment industries in anticipation of each lavished couture piece that graces bodies of the glamorous. It’s no wonder it wasn’t long before Amato’s Dubai-based designs and face were forseen to take the red carpet and center stage, globally. From an early age living in the Philippines, young Furne was captivated by fashion. Already sketching at age ten, he used his inherent interest in aesthetics, gleening appreciation from his Mother and Grandmother’s own admiration for beautiful appealing apparel. By 1994, Josie Natori and other foundational fashion players took notice after his competitive win for the MEGA Magazine Young Designer of the Philippines Award with his Ferne One line. He was Natori offered an apprenticeship by Natori, herself, at her design house in New York. That same year, Amato received the first prize at Japan’s Women’s Wear Awards. All of his exploration and intrigue paid off, as his next notable accolade was as finalist at Manila’s Fashion Designer Awards three years later. In 2008, Germany’s Next Top Model invited Amato as a special guest designer for the show’s season finale with supermodel, Heidi Klum. While International Fashion Week(s) from London, Dubai, Los Angeles and Miami, desired this rising designer on their catwalk, he was marked as a favorite, bringing monumental success. This brought the acclaim of celebrity status, as sensations including: supermodel, Heidi Klum, and singers, Jennifer Lopez, Katy Perry, Shakira, Nicole Scherzinger, Amber Rose and Nicki Minaj considered his creations a musthave. All our shoots come under three main functions of classy, sexy or artistic with a large emphasis on tasteful. With the introduction of Emily Golding as make-up artist to this team, the quality of our work has become even more professional, taking us to what I feel is a much higher level of excellence. We always plan our photo shoots in advance with the Leopard theme coming up one day as an idea for our next shoot and instantly had all of us involved and very excited. As at team this was only our second attempt at a body painting photo shoot. Involved in our goals for the Leopard project was to be able to accomplish this task with our model wearing underwear of some sort to keep the results tasteful. As a photographer I rely on inspiration coming from my team. I am always looking for that special something to give the wow factor in all my photography. CHRIS GARLAND FASHIONISM! (Don’t get fooled again?) The glittering spectacle of mediocrity which is London Fashion Week has once again passed without trace! The usual loudly-trumpeted-seriously-bigge’d-up-hysterically-marketed non event! It failed as always to ignite or even excite! Such was the lackluster retro collage of mediocrity and terminal emperor’s new clothes-ism of this event that it barely even managed to get the UK Press, usually lavish in their delight for a free ride on the fashion freebie surfboard sycophancy! To give even a squeal of delight! Even the shrill blaring trumpets of delirium could not mask the fact that this time, ‘everybody who was nobody was there’! For proving the ultimate goal and alchemy of insidious and aggressive marketing, that you can fool most of the people most of the time! To watch the almost comatose look of delight on the faces of the assembled fashionistas and cognoscenti, was almost frightening in its intensity! For this was a triumph for mass hypnotism! A ‘Triumph Of The Will’ one might almost say! For, reflected in the eager to believe faces, was something reminiscent of the expressions on the faces of people in documentaries from the Third Reich! A desperate eager need to ‘believe the hype! Resulting in a terminally zomboid costume party! And an interesting new phrase heard on the lips of the few assembled wised up hipsters, who were determined not to get fooled again! ‘Fashionism’! As one peels back the layers of slick shiny packaging, to reveal what is actually on offer, what do we see? Content to inspire, uplift, excite and more importantly get those sales figures vibrating!!! And, at last give buyers, shop and store owners a cure for their secret fears and sleepless nights? Sadly No! The usual suspects were paraded! ‘Warmed Up Brands’ and a handful of ‘new’ designers, loudly trumpeted as ‘Totally Wow!! but in reality, simply ‘Totally Almost’! And what is the solution? Actually quite simple! The financiers who actually control the purse strings need to start firing all those ‘past their sell-by date’, talentless, prematurely middle-aged ‘professional schlock meisters,’ management, designers and marketing people! Get out there and hire some genuinely hip, anarchic, young gun slingers, to re-invent the fashion industry! Bump start the next cultural revolution!

Fashion, Trend, Beauty are the words most sounded in down town. Glamour is the important around the city. And obviously we wanted to be an immediate part of it. That’s how MM RUNWAY appeared on June 20th of 2012. But the business in Mexico is hard and dutiful. People are divided by work, groups and companies. It’s weird what is happening on this side of world, but we wanted to try to bring people together. So we started to work with a little group of kids who want to be models that didn’t have that chance. Preparing them. Promoting them. These necessary things are what we could do for them. The first step was the photo shoots. From the first time, we sought a new concept. Something absolutely fresh, young and fashionable with a sprinkle of vintage. We did the face scouting and quickly got a few new talents now ready to live this fantastical adventure. We are looking to be the best management in town. It’s a hard compromise. But we can do it. Hard work, severe discipline and good connections will be made from this. Our profiles have talent. They are young men and women with exceptional beauty and intellect, too. Because we are not only looking for the appearance. We look at the inside. Brain. Heart. Values. They know it. And the city knows it, too. The MM RUNWAY name sounds everywhere now!
