DEAR FANS, Welcome to the 2019 Volvo Car Open! This is a celebration of our 47th year as a women’s professional tennis event, and marks our 19th year on Daniel Island in beautiful Charleston, SC. 2019 is a very exciting year as we continue our partnership with the Tennis Channel, which covers every match first ball to last. We will also continue to grow our international audience overseas by reaching more than 20 million fans through our relationship with WTA Media. Though we love our television and digital coverage, there is nothing better than being here in person! The City of Charleston is simply an unbeatable destination for fans to enjoy world-class tennis. With that in mind we continue to strive to create the best fan experience possible. From our new food and beverage offerings to events, including an empowering and energizing yoga experience on semifinal Saturday and a Gospel Brunch prior to Sunday’s finale, we are taking the Volvo Car Open experience to another level this year. I encourage all of our fans to download the official Volvo Car Open app to keep up with all of our wonderful programming, as well as the incredible action taking place on court. We are also very proud of Volvo Car USA in their fourth year as our title sponsor. South Carolina is the home of Volvo Cars’ first manufacturing plant in the US, and it’s producing the all-new S60 sedan. There are nearly 1,500 employees at the plant in Ridgeville, SC, who are building this car for distribution worldwide. The all-new Volvo S60 will be on display throughout the tournament along with Volvo’s full SUV range, including the award winning 7-passenger XC90, XC60 and XC40. Experience Scandinavian luxury, unparalleled technology and human-centric innovation and take a test drive outside the main entrance the final weekend of the tournament. Growing the game of tennis is an important responsibility of the Volvo Car Open. We are extremely fortunate to have a partner in SunTrust Bank who underwrites the cost of all tickets for children under the age of 16 so they can enjoy the experience of a world-class tennis event. In addition, we have partnered with the USTA and its Net Generation program so children onsite can learn about the game and participate in one of the many tennis activities offered all week. Giving back is something we, along with all of our partners, are very proud of. From raising money and awareness for our official charity, MUSC Children’s Health, to our partnership with Prudential Financial and their military outreach to help active personnel make a smooth transition to civilian life, the entire tournament is driven to give back using this wonderful game we all love. This year the Volvo Car Open will be donating $100 for every “ace” served during the tournament to the Campaign for MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital. Our fans can help out too, by taking the “Serve For The Kids Challenge". Make sure to stop by the Dunlop court to learn more! FAMILY WEEKEND (9:00AM – 3:00PM) Presented by MUSC Health
The Volvo Car Open has elevated its Family Weekend to include two fun-filled days celebrating the best of the state of South Carolina. The weekend will offer a beach with sand castle sculptures, a ferris wheel, merry-go-round, two-story glass house and more rides from the state fair, LEGO® bus, obstacle courses and much more. Make sure kids also stop by and have some fun on the youth-centered tennis courts, powered by Net Generation. Free admission for kids 16 and under, and adults are only $10. With admission, the tournament asks that Family Weekend-goers please bring a book to donate to Read365, a Charleston program providing reading opportunities for students. AUTOGRAPHS AVAILABLE

WED, APRIL 3 SPECIAL OLYMPICS DEMONSTRATION (3:00PM - 4:00PM) Demonstration features tennis players from local Special Olympics chapters conducting tennis drills to improve skills, court work and play.
WHEELCHAIR TENNIS DEMONSTRATION (4:00PM - 5:00PM) Demonstration features adult wheelchair tennis players from South Carolina. With an on-court emcee, learn the rules and regulations of the sport while watching a set in action.
SAT, MARCH 30 – SUN, APRIL 7 MUSC “SERVE FOR THE KIDS” CHALLENGE Volvo Car Open will donate $100 to the Campaign for MUSC Shawn Jenkins Children’s Hospital for every ace served throughout the tournament. Fans can help the cause by heading to our Dunlop court and trying their hand at their own ace! With a $5 donation, fans will receive three chances to serve and knock over a can of tennis balls. Each time a fan is successful, $10 will be added to the daily donation!

No food, beverages, coolers or glass containers may be brought onto tournament grounds, apart from one sealed bottle of water per person. The Volvo Car Open has a variety of choices for your dining pleasure to satisfy your food and beverage needs.
NO SMOKING POLICY
The Volvo Car Open is a non-smoking facility. Smoking, including e-cigarettes, is not permitted anywhere on the tournament grounds.

CAMERAS
No flash photography is allowed. Cameras are prohibited for any purpose other than using photographs for personal and private domestic use. Such photographs cannot be exploited or displayed in any manner or in any medium whatsoever without the express written consent of the WTA.
LOST & FOUND
Any lost items can be found at the Guest Services Tent located near the main gate.
TICKET POLICIES
Please be prepared to present your ticket to our usher staff at all times. Patrons wanting to leave and re-enter the tournament grounds will need to obtain a hand stamp upon exiting. You will need both a hand stamp and the ticket stub to re-enter. Keep your tickets! No ticket or credential holder may continually collect, disseminate, transmit, publish or release from the grounds of the tournament any match scores or related statistical data during match play (from the commencement of a match through its conclusion for any commercial, betting or gambling purposes)
REFUNDS/EXCHANGES
There are no refunds or exchanges. All sales are final.
UMBRELLAS
While umbrellas are allowed on-site, please be advised that you may be asked to discontinue use if they obstruct sight lines of those around you.
RAIN POLICY
The following policy applies to individual session tickets purchased directly (and not via ticket auction, exchange, resale or other secondary ticket outlet) through Ticketmaster, VolvoCarOpen.com or in person at the Volvo Car Stadium Box Office. Please note that this policy does not apply to weeklong subscription or any tickets issued on a Complimentary or Trade basis. If a session is cancelled and no matches are completed, Tournament management will make every effort to reasonably accommodate the individual session ticket holder on a subsequent session, if held. The Volvo Car Open cannot guarantee ticket availability, exchange of equal value or comparable seat location. There will be NO REFUNDS OR CREDITS. If one match is completed on Stadium Court, a session is considered complete and no exchanges or refunds will be made. In addition, patrons are advised that the Volvo Car Open schedule of play is subject to change for all sessions. Tickets are not eligible for refund or exchange due to one or more changes in the schedule of play.
PARKING
Parking is available in several locations on Daniel Island. Free shuttle service to the main entrance will be provided for those parking only in the satellite lots.
BAG POLICY
For the comfort and safety of all patrons, bags and backpacks will be screened upon entry. Once checked, bags and backpacks will receive a tag that shows they’ve been screened. Anyone leaving and wanting to re-enter will have their tag removed. Upon re-entry, bag will again be screened and tagged. Clear bags will be visually scanned and permitted without needing a bag tag. The following items are prohibited from entering the grounds: glass bottles or containers; alcoholic beverages; weapons; illegal substances; bikes, skateboards, scooters, selfbalancing scooters or roller blades; pets except for service animals. Prohibited items that are discovered during inspections must either be returned to their owner’s vehicle/transportation or discarded. The Volvo Car Open will not provide storage area for these items. Guests arriving by public transportation must take caution not to bring any prohibited items as no exceptions will be made.
