Dear Donna Donna L. Knifsend

Dear Donna: I have a landlord that refuses to let me out of my lease. I have lived in the house for eight months but it costs me over $500 per month to heat the home. There are also other issues including mold. I have four months left on the lease, but the conditions of the house are making my family sick. The house is for sale and I am thinking about putting large yellow tape with hanging lemons over the sign. Thoughts? I have plenty of thoughts with very little detail. If you are looking to get out of the lease, have you discussed potential liability to the landlord if there are “truly” mold and the other issues causing health related concerns to your family or have you simply asked to

The new showroom includes a selection of millwork, ceiling details, countertops and many other interior and exterior finishing details. The reception room includes a custom-made mantle from a 75-year-old Hoh River area maple tree, a gift to the company. “It is great to see our new office ready for operations and we look forward to our first day there,” said Kevin Estes. “We appreciate our trade partners and suppliers who worked with us and particularly our construction manager Mike Lyckman.

fund raising effort

Ked-Ter Construction (360) 460-0139

Angeles Millwork and Hartnagel invite you to purchase a 2-foot by 6-foot stud at either of their stores to donate to the framing lumber package which will be delivered to the job site for use in building Cpl. Ammon Lang’s home. Follow the progress of this fundraiser on Facebook at www.facebook.com/AngelesMillwork.Hartnagel! For more information or to donate a stud, call or visit Angeles Millwork, 1601 S. C St., 457-8581; or Hartnagel, 3111 E. Highway 101, 452-8933.

Currently the owner of Ked-Ter Construction, Rick Bradley began his career right after high school. Apprenticing for Stu KEDish and Joe TweTER, it’s the only company he’s ever worked for. “Joe was one of the best builders around and he was more like a dad to me than a boss,” Rick remarks. “Fortunately business has been steady for us,” says Rick, who has been able to keep his long-term crew busy. “They are all great guys and quality builders, and our reliable subcontractors have been with us for 10 to 15 years too. We all work so well together because we know what to expect from each other.”

2013 NPBA Board of Directors & Staff

Ked-Ter handles everything from remodels and additions to custom homes and recently completed a home on Marrowstone Island. “It was fun to see it all come together since the homeowner kept adding more bells and whistles.” When asked which project was his favorite, Rick grinned, “it’s always the last one we worked on.” “I’ve been shopping at Angeles Millwork and Hartnagel for 35 years and I trust everyone there, in fact they are more like family to me. Lonnie knows how we build and how to bid our jobs accordingly.” Need a builder? Call Ked-Ter Construction at 460-0139 for your custom home or building project. Contractor Lic. # KEDTEC*280KB
