June 13 - August 31 See inside for details!

2019 Summer Reading Adventure June 13 to August 31

Read Over the Summer and Earn Great Prizes!

Hey Kids! Summer is a great time to read for the fun of it. Explore stuff you’re interested in like insects or rock climbing or to meet magical creatures in the pages of a book … your choice, your adventure. To earn great prizes, you must read a certain number of books depending on your age. Birth-third graders read 15 books. Grades 4-5 read 10 books. Grades 6-12 read five books.

To participate • Register online at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library. • Complete a paper or online reading log and read either 15, 10 or five books depending on your age (Children can have books read to them). • Visit a library by August 31 to pick up your coupon book. If you use a paper log, please bring it with you. • Use the coupons to play mini-golf; eat ice cream; watch a soccer game and more! The Summer Reading Adventure includes special events and contests to entertain and educate children at library branches all summer long. New programs this year include Kathy MacMillan, Chris Michael Magic, FutureMakers Pop Up Lab and Wildlife Ambassadors!

For more information, visit a library

branch near you or check our website at www.fairfaxcounty.gov/library.
