Integration and Solidarity in Europe European Youth Weeks 2010

www.haus-am-maiberg.de www.haus-am-maiberg.de For the last years the EU has grown stronger and consists now of 27 member countries. Still, what we know about the EU, we learn at schools, universities or we read in newspapers. The knowledge is very often dry and abstract. But would you like to experience Europe LIVE? How about bumping into people from other European countries and discussing together Europe, democracy, minorities and many other important issues? If it sounds interesting to you, we invite you to take part in European Youth Weeks in Haus am Maiberg where you will meet people from other 7 EU member countries and – together with them – shape Europe!

During the seminar ... seminar... you will experience the cultural diversity in Europe and share your values, your ways of living, your interests in politics; you will get busy with discussions, group work, and role plays dealing with the European integration, economic and financial crisis and imperfections of democracy; we will make a trip to the European Parliament in Strasbourg and discover multiculturalism and problems concerned with that in Frankfurt and Mannheim; you will meet members of the European Parliament and discuss the possibilities of getting involved for European Citizens;

Young people between 18 and 23 How much? 220 EUR for participants from Germany, France, Spain, Italy 160 EUR for participants from Poland, Czech Republic 120 EUR for participants from Romania, Bulgaria The fee includes accomodation, food, insurance and all costs of trips and entrances. Travel costs can be reimbursed in 70% when confirmed with tickets. Language: The seminar´s language is English - good skills are expected from participants.
