Call for Editorial Assistants & Media Team Members

EYP
2023 10th National Selection Conference of
Luxembourg

I. Introduction and Editorial vision

Dear Prospective Applicant,

Join us at Belval 2023, where we will embark on a cosmic journey to build a better future together. The Editor envisions a constellation of participants, including the Media Team, working cooperatively in a friendly atmosphere.

We believe in creating an environment where Journalists can grow with guidance from their more experienced Editorial Assistant. We encourage experimentation and collaboration among Media Team Members, as this will help to find new creative ideas and test different instruments and techniques. Each member of the team brings unique skills, working styles, and personalities, which allows for different forms of interpersonal exchange and ultimately innovative outcomes.

The theme of our session, « to Europe and beyond » was created to enlighten our active participation in the Union. As the Media Team, we must ensure a stellar output that will be worthy for a 10th anniversary Session for a National Committee. We aim for participants to experience a sensation of being a vital part of a star-studded constellation, where their active involvement is essential for the brilliance and radiance of the entire system.

During our event, we will strive to strike a balance between work and leisure time for participants. We recognize the importance of having dedicated hours to disconnect from work and relax, but we also emphasise the need to remain focused during the work hours that we will spend together. To achieve this balance, we will keep these two types of activities separate.

Media Team Members will be encouraged to shine like individual stars in a vast galaxy, illuminating the EYP process with their personal projects that promote creativity and growth. With the guidance and feedback of the Editorial Team and peers, their efforts will contribute to the continuous forward movement and expansion of active youth.

As the session is several months away, it will be ideal to prepare the team beforehand to ensure a seamless experience during the event. To accomplish this goal, Journalists will receive small learning modules prior to the session.

Furthermore, Journalists will be encouraged to capture photos and videos during the event, while the Editorial Team will be responsible for selecting, post-producing, and publishing the content provided. They will also collect footage and create the session video.

We acknowledge that cooperation between teams is crucial to achieve a varied output and establish new and strengthen existing relationships. Therefore, we will strive to collaborate with other teams during the day and enjoy leisure time together in the evenings, as they are intended to be free from work-related activities. Possible cooperative efforts may include developing infographics for the Topic Overview or engaging in shared projects between the Academic and Media teams.

We are excited to share this session with you and cannot wait to welcome you to the team.

We look forward to seeing you in Europe.
