light to the internal spaces.
The sphere is 81 metres in height with a spiralling shape that creates a distinctive presence in the city landscape. The revolving/spiral shape was developed for the scheme of the design due to the program requirements. The Sphere School is to address the projected growth of school-aged children in the vicinity of the area, consequently the building is to accommodate a preschool, a primary school and a high school. For this diverse mix, it became necessary for a school that encourages collaboration as well as much needed outdoor learning spaces in the urban context. To integrate such issues different iterations and concepts were explored involving the concepts of classrooms, pedagogy and testing of form through analogue and digital methods. From such testing and experimentation the design for the school was developed. The main spiral form involves double floors that wraps around the sphere. It is supported with cores that act as vertical transportation. The internal planning of the school is intended to be open plan to accommodate the concepts of collaboration within the three schools. Additionally, for improved access

coming to our roots- asking residents what they see in the city.
The studio was an inclusion for the Sydney Architecture Festival 2012.
My project was to specifically investigate the Ku-ring-gai municipality - the northern suburbs of Sydney. To achieve our goals of re-vitalising the town centres of Ku-ring-gai, direct feedback and interaction with locals was essential. Interviews were conducted, residents were asked what was lacking, what was great of their suburb. They were also asked what they envisioned the future of Sydney. A scheme was developed based around a tradeoff concept for Ku-ring-gai. One of the main problems in the area is the divisive split of the Pacific Highway. The six-laned highway cuts right through the area, it is dangerous, congested and polluting -affecting the livability of the area. The highway is the arterial highway that connects Sydney and north. The trade-off scheme approaches the issues in a radical way - it projects to bury the Pacific Highway underground. The tunnelling of the highway will eliminate the divisiveness the Highway has to the area. As an offset for this, the scheme proposes to increase the density around the town centres - accommodating the increasing population of Sydney.

Roseville Masterplan The masterplan envisions the suburb of Roseville to be revitalised with a new Cinema Centre. The density of the city centre is increased with residential towers, in return the centre included new outdoor and indoor cinema and retail facilities, increasing activity and better livability for the suburb and Sydney.

KINDER CITY ‘Kinder City’ is a design for a school in Liverpool, south-west of Sydney. The school is situated in a diverse and thriving hub of the city. The design of the school embraces in sustainable design principles for a conductive school community.
1/50 Section Drawing Made from a lightweight timber construction the design aims to minimise the school’s environmental footprint. Facing a north-south axis the building provides optimal sunlight and ventilation. The rooftop is also optimised with a rooftop garden collecting rainwater and adding greenery to the city.

The project was part of a competition to design a 100 metre youth hostel tower opposite the MACBA in Barcelona, Spain. The design of the tower incorporates the required youth hostel program combined with mixed-use program of retail, community workshops and observation deck to increase business and revenue to the local community. The majority of the tower is taken by with youth hostel and the other mixed-use programs situated in the lower ground level and top floor. The hostel tower is designed with a central void for its environmental and social benefits. One of the key elements of the brief was to design a tower with sustainability principles. The central void of the tower encourages natural ventilation. The hostel tower form was based from aquatic organisms. 1. View from plaza 2. Section 3. Ground floor 4. Upper floors: public entry 5. Sample of artwork I have done during my studies. My electives consisted of painting, screenprinting and ceramics. The mediums shown here include acrylic paint and screen printing. I enjoyed painting and screen printing, some of these works were subject-assigned whilst some of the screen prints were based from my personal travels.
