TOWN MAYOR’S MESSAGE FOR CHRISTMAS HARPENDIA As we get closer to Christmas, it is great to see Harpenden getting into the festive spirit and we are so fortunate that our Town has something for everyone to see and do over the holiday season. I’m pleased to see that the annual pantomime, Aladdin, has returned in spectacular style this year to the new Eric Morecambe Centre. I’m sure it will be a show to remember and one for all the family to enjoy! Our local shops and businesses are also getting ready for a busy time ahead; there’s such a variety here and I hope many of them will enter my Christmas Window Competition to showcase their Christmas displays. I also know that there are plenty of excellent places to enjoy good hospitality, food and drink in the Town. I encourage everyone to sample some of these while doing their Christmas shopping! Lastly, I hope everyone takes the opportunity to pay our new celebrity, Frosty, a visit, our snowman visitor is currently on the Common helping me raise funds for my nominated charities and he is happy to join in a photo or two!
