Fantastic stalls, entertainment, food & drink on Sunday 10th June! The annual Ritherdon Road Street Party returns on Sunday 10th June with a wonderful variety of 60 stalls, live music and DJ, family fun, street food, drinks and a great community atmosphere. Across London, local events have become more difficult to organise as a result of increased security concerns and a smaller appetite for sponsorship and promotion. We therefore want to offer sincere thanks to our sponsors James Pendleton, Harviestoun Brewery, Heaver Motor Garage and Places for People Leisure (Balham Leisure Centre). Thanks also to those businesses who took an advert with us, thus demonstrating a desire to engage with and support their local community. This year’s Ritherdon Road Street Party will feature 60 boutique traders and exhibitors: from irresistible artisan cakes to quirky homeware, diverse fashion and beautiful gifts and objet d’art. Entertainment will include the return of the hugely popular retro act, The Haywood Sisters; local country rock band The Grievous Angels who’ll cover artists such as The Byrds, Bob Dylan, Neil Young and The Eagles; DJ Kirk; and the smooth vocals of guitarist Rob Doherty. Children will receive their full allocation of bubbles and laughter courtesy of the Ministry of Giggles, facepainting by Minnie the Clown, funfair rides and games. In addition to the stalls, the regular traders on Ritherdon Road will be enticing customers with attention-grabbing offers and competitions. Named for owners Quinton (Foxcroft) and redhead, Georgina.
