Risks for child mortality Under Goal 4, a related indicator is that on child mortality. The risk pattern for this indicator is shown in Figure A-5. Cambodia in the top-right quadrant is again at significant risk. But so too is Pakistan which on this indicator is ‘off-track slow’. The Solomon Islands is also at high risk in this indicator: it has a high under-five mortality rate, has made slow progress, and is very vulnerable. A number of other Pacific island countries are also at risk on this indicator, though currently have lower rates, including Tonga, Samoa, Vanuatu and Fiji. Tajikistan’s position is between Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.
