Pubs have always offered accommodation; it is hardly a new market. But, with all the focus on food, this potentially lucrative revenue stream has often been overlooked. Letting Rooms. Old Swan Northampton 8 The Square, Earls Barton, Northampton NN6 0NA

Letting Accommodation Experienced Publican Suburban The Old Swan, with its thatched roof and whitewashed walls, serves as much as a community centre as a pub. It’s set just off the high street, and is where locals converge to find out what’s happening in this affluent village – and the inn has a chameleon-like character, attracting older regulars for a pint and a chinwag throughout the week, and playing host to lively gatherings of younger drinkers at the weekend. However, there’s no doubt that the Swan has been missing a trick. Under the influence of an operator with a catering background, it could increase trade exponentially by introducing a food offer that will whet the appetites of new patrons, while persuading those who already love this traditional pub to tarry a while longer. A publican may also consider introducing pub teams, in order to secure a week-in, week-out reason for folks to make the Swan their very first port of call.
