In these realistic environments, you can experience process upsets and undesired operating conditions to gain firsthand experience in troubleshooting situations. The Nisku Training Facility is designed to accommodate multiple uses, including research, testing, onboarding and safety training.

The Nisku Training Facility is located east of the Nisku Industrial Park, close to industry activity – ensuring ease of access and convenience.
The Nisku Training Facility features:
• Fully operational oil and gas facilities • Well control • Drilling rig • Well bores • Training area for fall protection
• Classrooms • Computer lab • Cafe • Confined Space
Oil Production Facility The facility simulates the production of oil, water and gas emulsion from four types of wells: a flowing well, rod pumping well, electric submersible well and an electric surface driven rotary pumping well. The emulsion flows to a header where it can be directed to a test separator, group separator, horizontal treater, vertical treater and/or pigging header.
We offer the following Enform courses in our oil and gas facilities: • Oil & Gas Production Operator Basics (5 days) • Gas production Operator (5 days) • Oil Production Operators (5 days) • Introduction to Oil and Gas Production Equipment (2 days)
Gas Production Facility The production of gas, water and liquid hydrocarbons can be processed through any and all of the major systems of the plant, including wellsite dehydration, amine sweetening, refrigeration, and compression.

Hands-on, On-demand, On-site Nisku Training Facility • Experience Live Operating Environments
Well Control Facility The well control facility is available for well control training. The facility includes two 2,000 metre cased wells with natural gas injection and circulation systems. The surface equipment includes a complete mud system, choke manifold, degassers, flow monitoring and PVT systems and driller blowout prevention controls. Two well control simulators are also available for additional hands-on experience which can be modeled with your specific well bore parameters. We offer the following Enform courses in our well control facility: • Second Line Supervisor’s Well Control (5 days) • Second Line Supervisor’s Well Control Refresher (3 days)
Well Bores There are three well bores available at the site for testing and training. One well bore has an operating single drilling rig which may also be incorporated into the customized training. • 995 m (244.5 mm casing) • 505m (244.5 mm casing) • 988m (177.8 mm casing + 73 mm tbg) Fall Protection The facility enables hands-on training activities to provide fall protection training for individuals preparing to work in areas where fall hazards exist. Classrooms Enform Nisku includes ten classrooms designed for adult learners, with a skills training area.
