UR’S ISSUE 16’

The model, actress and social media superstar is getting her own weekly talk show on VH1, the network announced on Tuesday. Rose is teaming up with Dr. Phil McGraw for the show, which will premiere this summer and will find the 29-yearold conducting “candid interviews with celebrity friends and lead provocative, entertaining and humorous conversations with guests about pop culture, motherhood, relationships, friendships, race, and entrepreneurship,” VH1 previewed. “Uhh Ohh,” Rose wrote on Twitter after the news was announced. “Muva has a Talk Show on @vh1 Produced by @DrPhil I finally have a voice & ur gonna love what I have 2 say.” And in a statement, Rose, said, “I am very excited to be joining forces with such an amazing network to deliver a fresh perspective on the primetime talk show. Join us as we break all the rules and redefine late-night. Watch out Fallon, here comes MUVA!” VH1 General Manager Chris McCarthy added, “Amber has inspired millions of young women by overcoming homelessness to become a wildly successful entrepreneur. A true multi-hyphenate, she is a devoted mother, a strong advocate for women’s rights and a celebrated author all of which make her an ideal host. Amber is a perfect addition to the VH1 family because our audience is interested in hearing unique perspectives from those who are unapologetically themselves and not afraid to take a stand on issues they are passionate about.” A vocal feminist, Rose, who has a three-year-old son with her ex Wiz Khalifa, hosts an annual SlutWalk event, which aims to make women unashamed about their bodies and fashion choices.

ROB & CHYNA

First comes love and an engagement, then comes baby. Next up for Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna now? A reality show, of course! It has officially been announced that the Keeping Up with the Kardashians star, 29, and the model/business owner, 28, will debut their own reality show called Rob & Chyna later this year. Over the course of six 60-minute episodes, “The couple will openly share their new life while setting up their new home and preparing for their first child together,” according to a statement from the network. A special celebrating the birth of their child will follow. In the meantime, it has been reported that Chyna has been filming KUWTK alongside Rob and his famous family. Recently, Chyna posted a shot of herself taping what appears to be one the show’s confessional interviews. “THE PRODIGY,” she captioned the image of herself sitting in front of a green screen, adding a devil emoji. In the release, E!’s Executive Vice President of Original Programming & Development Jeff Olde said, “Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna’s, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place. We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship.” Before Rob & Chyna premieres later this year, Keeping Up with the Kardashians airs Sundays (9 p.m. ET on E! Entertainment

veryone wants and loves a woman like Rosa Acosta! At this juncture of her life, she has allowed her business acumin to step over her beauty like Allen Iverson did Tyrron Leu on June 6 during the 2001 NBA Finals.

“I am no longer aware of my looks, and I no longer depend of them to make a living...” As track number two on Late Nights with Jeremih (2012) softly plays, I scroll through Ms. Acosta’s Instagram page. Her description reads; ballet dancer, massage therapist, elbow Lover, nippologist, scar kisser, shower opera singer, midget hunter and future chef. I’m intrigued. Prior to placing her beauty aside, you could not turn on your television without seeing Ms. Acosta as a leading lady in music videos for Drake, Omarion, Trey Songz and many more of your favorite artists. I had to sit down with her and find out just how she’s able to wear hats for all of the afformentioned, make the transition from beautiful successful model to beautiful, successful entreprenuer. So after Gina Badhen and the team finished an amazing photoshoot, I sat down with the savvy Rosa Acosta to talk business, Game of Thrones, her Amber Rose kiss and more.

As I was checking out your IG page, I realized that we are kindred spirits as we’re huge fans of Game of Thrones (G.O.T). I thought the last two episodes were amazing and a great set-up for season 7. Are you ready for the next season? I love G.O.T! I loved the last few episodes and I am excited for next season. If you lived in the world of G.O.T, what house or kingdom would you want to be part of? Mmmm I was discussing that with my friend , I love Daenerys Targaryen but i dont think based on my looks i would be a Targaryen i would be a Martell of Sunspear… But i would love to have a pet dragon. You are an advocate for small businesses and even deeper than that; female owned small business. What drives you to do so in a world where being cut throat is all too often standard practice? Women get paid less than Men to do the same job, While we fight for equality, being your own boss can help you make as much or more money than our fellow business men. I love supporting my friends and all the ladies that have a business with a vision of giving back.

IS ABOUT HER BUSINESS

Tell us a little bit about your business ventures and which project(s) at the top of your entrepreneurial totem poll? Currently most of my energy is focus on CossaMia, We started as an online store 4+ years ago, and a year ago we opened our first location on Melrose Ave. in Los Angeles. In a few weeks im getting ready to celebrate CossaMia ‘s 1 year anniversary and launching CossaMia Beauty Bar righ on Melrose. We will be offering Lash extentions, hair, make up and nail services. Where would you say you acquired your acute business sense? My Mom. She’s great with money , She showed me how to stretch a dollar. As a female entrepreneur, do you feel you have any advantages as a beautiful woman or is the playing field equal across the board? I look around and all i see is beautiful women out there, everybody is pretty and has a hot body these days. I am no longer aware of my looks, and I no longer depend on them to make a living. As a video vixen, yes it helped me, but when I launched CossaMia, nobody knew it was my store for 3 years. So the success of the store did not depended on my looks. Many people get discouraged when it comes to business if growth is moving slowly. What advice do you have for aspiring entrepreneurs and those who are in the slow grind of the business world? If you get discouraged easily, entrepreneurship is not for you. You need to be patient and be prepared for the bad times as much as you are going to cherish the good times.

18

How does one go about locking lips with Amber Rose? I’m not sharing my secret wit you guys! hahah You are a marketing genius. How important would you say it is for a business to advertise and strategically market their brand(s)? Very important. I went to business school in Dominican Republic but times have changed since them and I have been trying now things and seeing what works for my business and what doesnt. According to your description on IG and Twitter, you are a ballet dancer, massage therapist, elbow Lover, nippologist, scar kisser, shower opera singer, midget hunter and future chef. How many midgets, have you caught to date? What is your favorite meal to cook? How long have you been dancing ballet? Who has your favorite elbow? Who would you compare your shower singing voice to? What makes for a great nipple and who has the best nipples you’ve seen as a certified nippologist? I love little people , once im close to one I can’t stop smiling and I just want to hug them. I used to love to cook maple salmon, but I am currently vegan. I started dancing when I was 4 years old and graduated with honors at 18 and joined the only classical Ballet company in my country. My friend Geebin has the coolest elbows, I sound like Celine Dion in the shower, I like pink nipples and my friend and playboy model Sthephy C has the cutest ones. Can you share some of your lessons learned in business and give some advice to aspiring entrepreneurs based on your experiences? A business that only has a purpose of making money would never be truly successful. Be inspired but Do not copy from other business. People will make it look easy but its not.

ith a voice that describes the second part of her name (Gold) and a personality that defines the former (Angel), I caught up with the beautiful, talented R&B star on the rise to talk life and music. I’ve been a fan of your brother Ty Dolla $ign’s music for a few years now and when I heard your single “No,No,No”, I became Team AngelGold as well. How has the overall response been to the song? People are loving the song! My bro TC just put out a song called “Family” featuring himself, my other brother Ty$, and myself that is getting a lot of love as well. I’m happy!

Free TC is the movement. Can you tell us about the situation with that and is there any progress toward clearing your brother’s name? Yes there is progress being made. When my bro Ty released the album ‘Free TC’, so much awareness to wrongful convictions and injustice lead to a lot more support. The documentary was extremely touching and I immediately wanted to go to work and do my part to help. What can people do to help if anything at all? At the moment, using the hashtag #FREETC

Would you say it’s more of a gift or a curse for you to have a sibling in the industry who’s already created a solid name? Do you feel any added pressure?

I’ve noticed you are always on point when it comes to make-up and fashion. What and/or who inspires your fashion style? Favorite fashion brands? Favorite make-up brands?

I’m fortunate to have a musical family. It’s definitely a gift! There is pressure, but nothing I can’t handle.

I like to rise to the occasion when it comes to make up and fashion. There’s no specific brand, but I like wearing exclusives and one of a kind pieces. I prefer more of a natural look that’s diverse because I like to change outfits during the day.

I watched the FreeTC Documentary and saw you did some vocal work on Ty’s latest project also titled FreeTC. Do you think you and Ty will ever do a joint project? Stay tuned to find out! I use my social media to keep everyone updated on what’s going on. Follow me: (@iamAngelGold) Instagram,

Snapchat, Twitter, & Facebook.

What and/or who inspires your music? My life inspires my music. The experiences I have good and bad influence the songs I write and gravitate towards.

INDELIBLE SHINE

Do you have any Entrepreneurial aspirations? Any plans beyond the music? I am a true artist that loves to create not only in music, but choreography, art, and film to name a few. I know you’re working on your EP. Can you talk about it a little bit and what we can expect? I just got back to LA from Toronto, Atlanta, and Texas working with some of the best to bring you my signature sound #itsSoGood with a lot of new flavor / sauce ; ). I’m so excited about my first EP! I’ve been dreaming of this for a long time, and now it’s finally happening. So I was telling one of my friends that I was going to be interviewing you and he wanted me to ask you a pretty cliché question (lol). He actually just wanted to know (“hypothetically” but he really hopes it happens) how he should approach you and if it would be weird if he picked you up with your music playing in his car? I want everyone to be themselves around me. Play my music as you would normally as often as you want, but don’t put it on JUST because I’m getting in the car ya know?

24

What has been your best and worst experience in the music industry so far? All my experiences in the music industry have been great because I get to do what I love. My worst day is still a good one. It’s difficult at times, but always worth it. I can’t complain about getting the opportunity to create and share my ideas with the world. What advice would you give aspiring artists trying to make it in today’s music industry? Whatever you are interested in, stay focused on it and push yourself to be great! Do you have any words you’d like to leave with your current and future fans? Hey! Let’s get to know each other and share more light than shade everywhere we go.

Gina Badhen Glams Celebrity Make-up Artist, Ashley K. Holm during their intimate interview on her success story so far. Beauty Entrepreneur Lilly Ghalichi has dubbed Ash as one of her praised Live Glam Pro Artists. Ash has also worked with some of Hollywood’s biggest glam girls such as Khloe Kardashian. How did you kick start your career in make-up? Honestly I didn’t kick start my career in the makeup world. It’s been a very long process. I actually graduated from Paul Mitchell cosmetology school and my passion for makeup got me hired at one of the top makeup companies at the age of nineteen. My dream was to become a trainer. I spent 5 years fine-tuning my makeup application and teaching skills. I was recognized as one of the best makeup artists in the region and among the highest in sales. My favorite roll I had with the company was educating the artists & customers during my seminars. Eventually I decided to pursue a freelance career and things took off from there. What has been the highlight of your career so far? The absolute highlight of my career is being able to work for myself, establish my own brand and being able to maintain a celebrity clientele.

30

What advice would you give to other aspiring make-up artist that want to build their brand? There is no secret to success. You have to invest into the things that you are passionate about. Invest your time and your thoughts into what you want. You have to become obsessed with it. This is not a hobby this is a full time job. I’m always setting new goals and working towards accomplishing them. What inspires you as a makeup artist? I get to wake up everyday and do what I love. It’s not always easy or fun but there is honestly nothing in the world I would rather be doing than this and I recognize how lucky I am to have a job I’m truly passionate about. Where do you see your brand in the next year? I’m really excited to announce that my website/blog (AshKholmglam.com) just went live. I’m about to launch my signature liquid lipstick line in collaboration with Rincon Cosmetics and I’m also going to be working on my YouTube channel so make sure to look out for that.

When I caught up with Claudia Vivanco she stated, “At the moment, I am working on an eccentric Stainless Steel line with semiprecious stones, pearls and Venetian and Czech crystals, where I am trying to show the union between femininity and color harmony. When creating my jewelry collections, I experiment with the materials that I am using and take them as far as they will go. That style of design will be present in my future collections which are named: “Cosmogonica” based on the cosmos, “Golden Diva” using a lot of gold tones, and “Perlain White” where I will be using different types of pearls. Creating motivates me.”

Claudia Vivanco

“Lives and breathes for design” Claudia Vivanco chose to be a designer by passion and vocation. Art is in her blood, she inherited her mother’s talent and love for design. She studied in Chile, at her hometown university, University of Valparaiso where she pursued her career of Graphic Design. Afterwards she moved to Panama where she resided with her family and enrolled at the Universidad Santa Maria la Antigua. As a woman who lives and breathes for design, and as a result of love for innovation and creativity, she traveled to Rome, Italy, where she studied Jewerly Design at the Accademia di Costume and di Moda. It was then whe she started to see her dreams coming to fruition.
After a couple of years, she returned to Panama, becoming a professor, because of her eagerness to motivate and pass on knowledge to others. Following that period, she went on to earn a degree in teaching at ISAE University in Panama.
