Manege Construction We specialise in the construction of maneges. We offer a full range of services including construction, project management, sourcing of materials, planning and design. We also offer a consultancy service for those who are planning on building their own manege. Constructing o horse manege is a big investment and we are here to help. Whilst many builders may be able to quote very cheap prices to construct, a horse manege (40m by 20m) should cost a minimum of ÂŁ18,000. This is an absolute bottom line figure. If you are quoted cheaper than this, the materials will be insufficient, the layers of materials will possibly be too thin or the builders are taking shortcuts. For a successful horse manege construction, material selection is critical for the longevity of the arena. Most manege surfaces that fail in the first couple of years are due to insufficient drainage or moulding of the top surface. This is mainly due to the drainage bed consisting of the wrong type of stone , insufficient land drainage or more commonly the working surface being laid on top of a sand that is being sold as a silica sand but which is often not. The ideal Silica Sand for horse manege is really only available from 4 locations within the UK. We carry sample boxes from most UK suppliers which includes silica sands, rubber surfacing or fibre tops.
