LACROSSE Lacrosse is a sport, originally played by the peoples of North America, using a small rubber ball and a longshafted stick called a lacrosse stick the objective of the game is to score by shooting the ball into an opponent's goal, using the lacrosse stick to catch, carry, and pass the ball to do so. Defensively, the objective is to keep the opposing team from scoring and to gain the ball through the use of stick checking and body contact or positioning.

VOLLEYBALL HOW TO PLAY VOLLEYBALL

1.Choose your players. Ideally, you want at least 6 players for a competitive game. However, if you're playing with a group of friends, just keep the same number of players on each side. 2.Serve the ball from behind the line at the back of the court. The ball has to go over the net (but it can touch), and it has to land within the court for the serve to be good. 3. Players may go over the lines, but the ball may not. If a player on your team hits it out of bounds, you may run to retrieve it. Return the ball if you're on the receiving team. Thus the rally has begun! A typical play will be bump, set, spike -- but as long as it goes over within three hits, it's good. 4.Continue hitting the ball back and forth across the net until a fault happens. This could be because of any one of the following: 

If the ball hits the ground on the side of the serving team, then the other team has the opportunity to serve.  If the ball hits the ground on the side of the receiving team, then the serving team can serve again.  The point is awarded to the team that did not allow the ball to hit the ground. 

5.Serve the ball again. The team that won the last point gets to serve the ball. If you're rotating, rotate now. If your team has the ball, it's common for the rows to back up a bit. The idea here is to get ready for an attack. If you don't have the ball, move forward. The idea instead here is to make the attack. 6.Continue playing until you reach a threshold. You can decide how many points you will allow for each game. For instance, you can start a new game when a team earns 15 points. 

A game must be won by two points. 25-26 will not cut it; it must be 25-27. Because of this, close games can go on much longer.

Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court under organized rules.[1] It has been a part of the official programf the Summer Olympic Games since 1964. BY: ALEJANDRO TORRES

AMERICAN FOOTBALL Understanding Rules and Terminology 1. Know the point of the game. The goal of American foot-

ball is to score points by carrying the ball from a starting point on a 100-yard long by 53-yard wide field into a specially marked ten-yard-deep zone at either end of the field called an end zone. Each team uses the end zone in front of them to score, while trying to prevent the opposing team from reaching the end zone behind them. 2. Learn the time divisions. Football is divided into four periods of 15 minutes each, with a break between the second and third periods called “halftime” that is normally 12 minutes long. A play begins when the ball is moved from the ground into the hands of the players, and ends when either the ball hits the ground, or the person holding touches at least one knee to the ground. If a player runs out of bounds, a penalty is called, or a pass is thrown but not caught by anybody, the clock will stop while referees sort everything out.

AMERICAN FOOTBALL

If you've ever wondered about the basics of how to play (or at least follow) American-style football, you're not alone. American football can seem like a bunch of guys repeatedly crashing into each other, until you understand some of the basics and start to see the strategy involved.

3. Learn the flow of the game. American football is made up of two basic structural elements that guide play. These are the kickoff and the downs system. •Kickoff: At the very beginning of the game, team captains flip a coin to decide who will have to kick the ball to the other team, thus starting the game. This initial play is called the kickoff, and typically involves a long kick down field from one team to the other, with the team that kicked the ball rushing towards the team receiving the ball in order to prevent them from running the ball a long ways back towards the kicking team's end zone. 4.

Learn about the composition of a team. Each team is allowed to have eleven players on the field at once. Different team members hold different positions and have different duties on the field. Most competitive teams are actually composed of three separate teams of players, each of which is rotated onto the field to perform one type of task. •The offensive team includes the following players: •The quarterback, who throws a pass or hands the ball to a runner. •The center, who “snaps” the football from the line of scrimmage (starting line) to the qurterback.

5.

Keep track of your score. The goal of the game is to score more points than the opposing team. In the case of a tie, an additional 15 minute overtime period is usually played. Scoring is as follows: •A touchdown, wherein the football is successfully carried into the

AC MILAN A.C. Milan was founded as Milan Cricket and Foot-Ball Club on 16 December 1899 by English expatriates Alfred Edwards and Herbert Kilpin, who came from the English city of Nottingham. In honour of its English origins, the club has retained the English spelling of the city's name, as opposed to the Italian spelling Milano which it was forced to bear under the fascist regime. Milan won its first Italian championship in 1901 and a further two in succession in 1906and 1907.[ In 1908, Milan experienced a split caused by internal disagreements over the signing of foreign players, which led to the forming of another Milan-based team,F.C. Internazionale Milano. Following these events, Milan did not manage to win a single domestic title until 1950 –51. The 1950s saw the club return to the top of Italian football, headed by the famous Gre-No-Li Swedish trio Gunnar Gren, Gunnar Nordahl and Nils Liedholm. This was one of the club's most successful periods domestically, with the Scudetto going to Milan in 1951, 1955, 1957, 1959 and 1962. In 1963, Milan won its first continental title by beating S.L. Benfica in the final of the European Cup. This success was repeated in 1969, with a 4–1 win over AFC Ajax in the final, which was followed by the Intercontinental Cup title the same year. During this period Milan also won its first Coppa Italia. Milan won a tenth league title in 1979, but after the retirement of Gianni Rivera in the same year, the team went into a period of decline. The club was involved in the 1980 Totonero scandal and as punishment as relegated to Serie B for the first time in its history. The scandal was centered around a betting syndicate paying players and officials to fix the outcome of matches. Milan achieved promotion back to Serie A at the first attempt, winning the 1980–81 Serie B title, but were again relegated a year later as the team ended its 1981 –82 campaign in third last place. In 1983, Milan won the Serie B title for the second time in three seasons to return to Serie A, where they achieved a sixth place finish in 1983–84.

Capello's team went on to win the 1995–96 league title before he left to coach Real Madrid in 1996. In 1998–99, after a two-year period of decline, Milan lifted its 16th championship in the club's centenary season. Milan's next period of success came under another former player, Carlo Ancelotti. After his appointment in November 2001, Ancelotti took Milan to the 2003 Champions League final, where they defeated Juventus on penalties to win the club's sixth European Cup. The team then won the Scudetto in 2003–04, before reaching the 2005 Champions League final, where they were beaten by Liverpool on penalties despite leading 3–0 at half time. Two years later, the two teams met again in the 2007 Champions League final with Milan winning 2–1 to lift the title for a seventh time.
