Location: Crater Marsursky, Marte.
Year: 2023
Category: Research Center.
As the final degree project, the creation of a research center on Mars was undertaken. The primary objective of this project was to meet all the physical and psychological needs required by six highly skilled astronauts over a period of two years. The implementation of this initiative not only provided us with the opportunity to explore new construction techniques but also allowed us to reflect on the way humans inhabit space.
The project is zoned into three main areas: one corresponding to the work sector, another designated for housing, and the gardening area which allows for connectivity between the previously mentioned areas.

Category: Coworking & Coliving
The project consists of a building for co-working and co-living activities. The proposal aims to create spacious and flexible spaces that allow for both work and living. It’s not just about a new way of living, but a whole lifestyle characterized by sharing spaces to foster a community. The materials used emulate those of ancient ports located along the river, and the outdoor space is enriched by the access to it.
The selected vegetation is exclusively found in protected areas of the Lombardy region. The landscaping proposal complements the morphology, creating different wooded areas for enjoyment.

Category: Hospital
A hospital is a fundamental facility for life in society, presenting a symbolic value due to its scale and social representation. Each space responds to the proposed specializations in the program requirements. The entire system is configured through courtyards and light wells that bring life and dynamism to the building. Additionally, thanks to the layout and windows, solar gain is achieved for the coldest months of the year, and the eaves provide protection on hot days.
