DISRUPTIVE STUDENTS If in the judgment of the Dean of Students, in consultation with other College officials, it is determined that a student’s behavior is disruptive to College functions and/or presents a threat of harm or bodily injury to himself/ herself or members of the College community, the student may be temporarily suspended from the College pending certification of professional assessment/ counseling.

Active Shooter If an active shooter is outside your building: • Proceed to a room that can be locked. • Close and lock all the windows and doors and turn off all of the lights. • If possible, get everyone down on the floor where no one is visible from outside the room or windows • Have one person in the room call 9-911 or 911, advise the dispatcher of what is taking place and inform the dispatcher of your location. • Remain in place until the police give the “all clear.” Do not open the door for anyone you do not know. If an active shooter is in the same building with you: • Lock the room you are in, if possible. • Turn off all of the lights. Lock and barricade the doors.
