Where the house is a "stage" for living, so, far beyond their functional needs, objects have become not just the props - but the players - the style icons. Italian design finds its expression in the combination of function and soul. Everyday objects are created as much to stimulate the imagination as to fulfil their function. They are made to jolt us out of our daily routine and the mundanity that function alone inspires Technical innovation, high quality materials and challenging creativity are the stylistic syntax with which designers create objects that are made to inspire and to foster a new reciprocal relationship between people and their belongings.

The extraordinary urban and landscape photographs on show become part of unique design solutions, where the printing process and the materials selection reflect the balance between aesthetics and technical innovation. Tradition and innovation, combined with the hands of skilled stonemasons have carved nature to obtain the magnificent and distinctive design objects on show. Sculptures and projects which reflect an unpaired ability to make impossible things possible.

I started taking photographs and print them in a darkroom when I was 14. I began my career as printer and young photographer in 1989. I was in charge of shooting, developing films and printing. In 1996 I co-founded, together with two partners, a digital printing service focused on fine-art prints and large format prints. That's where my 'digital experience' started on. I learned digital colour management and I am experienced in calibration processes and ICC profiles creation for any kind of device, from digital cameras, or scanners, to displays and fineart, or offset, printers.

Since 2004 I'm an independent consultant and my expertise is based on software and colour management training. I'm also a teacher in a couple of graphic design and photography institutes located in the Venetian region. I am an Adobe Certified Instructor for Photoshop CS4 and also an Apple Distinguished Professional for Aperture. I write technical articles for graphic and photographic Italian magazines, I'm the co-author of a 4DVDs training seminar about colour management and the author of a DVD training seminar about Apple Aperture; both sold by Teacher in a Box. I used to provide consultancies to the Italian representative of Apple, X-Rite, Wacom and Nikon. I am a FIOF qualified teacher in charge of all training courses that related to the use of Photoshop and colour management in digital photography.Â
