Catalonia is an autonomous community of Spain. It is 32.106,5 km2 and it’s got 7.539.618 inhabitants. Catalonia has got 41 counties and 947 towns. The official languages are: Spanish, Catalan and Occitan. (aranès).

In other sports there are world champions like Laia Sanz, Mireia Belmonte, Toni Bou, and a lot of other sports people.
Relief In Catalonia there are a lot of mountains. The height
average is 700 m above sea level. There aren’t many plains and there are hills.
The Catalan coast is 550 Km long. It isn’t very abrupt,
“Cap de Creus” and “Delta de l'Ebre” are the most important.
Climate Catalonia has got a Mediterranean climate. The highest temperture can be 43˚C (in “Les
Garrigues”), and the lowest can be -30˚C (in “the Pyrenees”). The average temperature is between 0˚C and 17˚C.
Vegetation The forest vegetation is 61,3% of the Catalan
territory and the cultivation, 32% of the territory. The rest is urban territory. The types of trees we can see in “Les Garrigues” are: oaks, firs, pines... In Les Garrigues there are lots of olive trees.
FAUNA The Catalan Fauna isn’t very big The most common animals are: bats, wild boars,
swallows, foxes…
Food and drinks Drinks: wine, cava. Sauce: “All i oli” (garlic and oil), “sofregit” (fried
vegetables), and “romesco” (tomato, garlic, almonds...). Main courses: “Escudella”, “calçots”, “caneloni”, “fideuà”... Meat: meatballs , chicken, pork ... Fish: sardine, tuna... Desserts: Catalan cream, honey and curd cheese, “bunyols” (fritters)...

secondary and third sectors. Primary: activities that use natural resources: 2% in Catalonia (agriculture and farming). Secondary: They change raw material into elaborated products: 34% in Catalonia. Third: to people: Service sector, 64% in Catalunya.
Catalan Traditions Games: the most popular cards games are «Botifarra»
and «Brisca». There are also other games like «petanca» or «bitlles» (bowling). Festivities: one of the most important Catalan Festivity is Saint George. Dances: the most typical Catalan dance is «sardana». We also have «Castellers».

Bovera Bovera is a nice village in “Les Garrigues”. In Bovera you can visit: the church, the olive oil factories, the countryside and the swimming pool. County:

La Granadella La Granadella is bigger than Bovera and Bellaguarda.
