• 2013-14 OVC Commissioner’s Cup champions – second time in the last three years

• More than 1,450 hours of community service performed by EKU student-athletes

• Ohio Valley Conference champions in men’s cross country, women’s cross country, men’s basketball and women’s tennis

• Seven football players and members of the coaching staff ventured on a mission trip to Haiti in May (below)

• Men’s cross country won the NCAA Southeast Region for the first time in program history and finished 15th at the NCAA championships • Men’s track & field athlete Ole Hesselbjerg (below) became EKU’s first NCAA track medalist since 2008 – finished third in the men’s 3,000-meter steeplechase • Men’s basketball player Marcus Lewis won the Denny’s Slam Dunk Championship, televised live by ESPN • Softball head coach Jane Worthington earned her 600th career win at EKU

• 81 student-athletes earned their diploma • 289 Colonel Scholars – student-athletes who earned a 3.0 GPA or better in either or both of the previous two semesters • Women’s cross country/track & field athlete Ann Eason named CoSIDA Academic All-American • Twelve of EKU’s 17 varsity sport programs met or exceeded the national average in the multi-year NCAA APR Report
