Maine Engineer, Professional Temporary Practice Course About the Service: Maine Engineer, Professional - Temporary Practice Course This course is designed for engineers who want to obtain the Temporary Practice Permit (TEP). This permit allows you to work as an engineer in Maine without having to meet the education requirements. You must still pass the FE exam and receive your PE license to be able to practice in Maine. This course is based on the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES) FE Reference Handbook. The required reference handbook is available at www.ncees.org/about-us/publications/reference-handbooks-andmanuals The fee for this course is $100 This course will take approximately three hours of study time per week for three weeks. An online final examination must be passed with a score of 90% or higher in order to receive a certificate of completion from UMEAC
