Maine Counselor, Professional (Conditional) Practice Course About the Service: The Maine Counselor, Professional (Conditional) Practice Course is open to licensed professionals from other states who want to practice in Maine. The course meets the requirements of the Maine Board of Licensure in Counseling and provides a foundation for understanding the issues related to counseling in Maine. This program is designed for professionals who have completed a master's degree in counseling or related field and wish to obtain licensure in Maine. It will also meet the requirements for those who want to complete their master's degree after becoming licensed. The course consists of 30 hours of instruction and includes an internship experience (included in tuition). After successful completion of the course, you will earn 19 semester hours toward your master's degree. Your transcript will be marked with conditional status until you meet all program requirements with your home state board.
