Embryos on Snow to be Held in Historic Brown Palace The historic Brown Palace hotel will serve as host for the 2012, Sixth Annual Embryos on Snow in downtown Denver on Friday night, January 13th. The hotel is one of the premier hotels in the west and also plays host to the Grand and Reserve Grand Steers each year during the Stock Show. The Brown Palace has hosted many premier Angus sales, back in the day, and has always been a big supporter of the National Western, its events and its people. Christy Collins stated, “We are tremendously excited to be able to hold this premier auction in this location. This is a dream come true for me and I think it will be a great experience for many people to be able come downtown and visit the Brown Palace. We are looking forward to making ‘The Brown’ the permanent home for the sale in years to come.” New events at the sale this year, include the naming of the 2012 “La Prix” Contest winner and presentation of the $10,000 cash award. The contest winner will be named following the recognition of the 2012 finalists and runner-up. Also, for sale attendees, an optional buffet meal will be made available by the Brown Palace for those wishing to dine in the hotel prior 124

to auction time. The meal will be served in support of the continuation of the LaPrix scholarship program in 2013.
