Economics Arkansas and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis, Little Rock Branch, Present
Economics Calendar Program Competition The pictures in this calendar were created by Arkansas students who entered the Economics Calendar Program competition in the spring of 2016. Teachers used the contest to stimulate interest in the fundamentals of economics for students in kindergarten through eighth grade. This project allowed students to integrate economics with art by illustrating an economic concept. Fifteen pictures were selected from 564 entries, and although artistic talent was considered, the winning entries best demonstrated a solid understanding of the economics concepts based on each student’s grade level. Each student winner and his or her teacher were awarded a $50 cash prize. Economics Arkansas and the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis are committed to increasing the economic literacy of pre-K-12 students in Arkansas, so we encourage you to visit our respective websites to learn more about our programs and workshops for teachers.
